Wait till you find out that Amazon are going to be screening a lot of the Champions League games so a friendly Sky guy told me. We might have to pay for that on top of Prime.

Does anyone know if the games will be in HD on the new service, or will it be the same appalling grainy quality we got on the red button?

I work at Sky. Just launched a new viewing experience on NOW, 4k, better audio etc, anyone on the existing experience got a free upgrade and as long as they don't cancel, they pay the same amount as they did before infinitely. Not a peep about it though, no emails to existing customers to say we've given you this sweet deal, no advertising it for new customers. It's just there if you log in. It's bizarre

That’s mental. I have everything bar movies and have an extra box. You should definitely give them a call.

They have a Special offer at the moment, £5 a month for 3 months and it's £45 a month after that.

TNT have the contract for the UCL and other competitions. You can already get a TNT contract through Amazon. Same with Premier Sports.

Have just seen this. You can get an extra box for other room for free too and overall much cheaper than sky. Will call them tomorrow to cancel and see if they can convince me to stay, if not will try BT.

Ironically I cancelled my nowtv sub about 3 weeks ago because I was planning on getting sky, going through all the cancel pages there wasn't a peep about this and it probably would have made me keep it. Seems very odd that they didn't advertise it at all.

I can't say I know the intricacies of all the plans etc, but with the launch we've been following a forum of full on AV nerds, and a lot of them are saying they'll be swapping over to it as the quality is there, and as long as you don't need QVC or the other filler channels, it does the job. Can pretty much cancel memberships and the viewing tiers and get retention offers from the get go too. Only issue with the new viewing tier is the devices it's limited to though, so worth a check first.

On a side note, with the launch of Sports + tomorrow, they've got all the EFL kits hanging in our building, got our 21/22 kit though, you'd have thought Sky would have the latest surely

Just had an email from Virgin, sky sports plus as mentioned earlier is now on 508, the old Arena channel, so all the streaming is on the red button on that channel, just looked and our game is in the schedule for Saturday

Lots on here about the other providers but as a Sky customer, I still haven't heard a peep from Sky about how to get this new service.

Am seriously tempted to phone Sky and tell them to cancel my Sports TV option and sign up for Now TV instead.

I take it you still won't be able to record live games, unless they are on the main channel and you have Virgin or Sky

When I had Virgin, I used to record everything.

Think this new set up only lets you record on the main channels doesn't it.

Annoying, because I will miss some games as a result.

its a mess but not surprising with Sky, their whole offering is a mess.

Sky HD, Sky Q, Sky Glass, Sky Stream and Now TV all basically offer the same content but have different pricing. How hard would it be just to call everything Sky no matter what platform you wanted it on and have the same price across the board?

So if you had ifollow you could watch match replays but not with this new and improved service you can only watch live, is that right?

Or are they expecting you to take out a second subscription to ifollow just for match replays, will they even be available on there for people in the UK?

They had a chance to sort this shit out. Remove the 3pm blackout and a decent streaming platform available on all devices but somehow they've managed to make it more of a mess than it was before while moving loads of games and pissing everyone off.
