Sky Sports win rights to show 128 Premier League matches a season in £4.5bn deal

BT sport paying £295 million for 32 games.

Madness.

What gets me is when your average sky sports fan tries to tell you money isn't killing football.

That argument is painful and far too regular.

I dont subscribe to any tbh but its getting more and more difficult to watch any sport without costing you. I used to watch F1 (when it was interesting), cycling, football, Golf, cricket which most of them have now gone to SS. The only one I can still get away with (sort of) is cycling on Eurosport.

No proper football fan should be paying for Sky Sports knowing what it's doing to the game.

I honestly have no interest in it, the only time I would bother is if we were playing at an away game I couldn't get to.

I think a lot of premier league fans would disagree as they are seeing their teams spend massive amounts on players where only 5 years ago they wouldn't have dreamt it. It will obviously have an implosion point of course but I doubt a lot of fans are seeing this whilst on the gravy train.
