I saw them there while watching TV. They're just talking about Robins being unveiled as the new manager and last nights results

well im glad ince priced himself out the job if the rumors are true i have alot of faith in robins and giving the tools to do the job we could mount a challenage but its going to be hard with the squad hes got now.

I think we have the squad. What we don't have is leadership and discipline. Two things which Robins can control and should be prioritised.

Sounds like you believe in him more then Fisher and Waggott; who 'believe in him', but just a bit less than they 'believed in' Ince....

Despite what was reported in the CET, which appears to correlate with the rumours on Twitter late yesterday?

Scored one of the most important goals in Manchester Uniteds history. Fergie was on the brink of being sacked and that goal bought Fergie more time in the job!!! Madness!!

An important fact that we seem to be over looking is, he has never been sacked. For those saying he has achieved nothing, a manager with experience yet no sackings is surely up there with the best of them.

If he can bring discipline, leadership and attacking insight it will be a great appointment. I'm looking forward to hearing what he has to say!!

Were there any named sources on the CET or Twitter?

Were the "sources" for the CET, Twitter rumours, or were the Twitter rumours from the CET?

Knowing the investigative skills of the CET, suspect the former, so hardly definitive from anywhere.

Well if the source is Richard Keys then it's impeccable.

Even if Ince did turn it down, it's worked out better for us, things happen for a reason. Great appointment.

After all the guff in the press from the players in the last week I am more interested in seeing how he gets the team to play, not just on Saturday or against Arsenal. We have seen with this bunch that they are decent game for team when they can be bothered and are motivated to do well. Its up to Robins to get them to do that every week, something which I think is actually quite a tough task.

Greggs down...or Greg Downs - remember him? He could probably still do us a job too!

But it's a story that's 'out there' and hasn't been denied by the club, eh? Let's face it, it doesn't paint Fisher and Waggott in a particularly good light, and it'd take seconds to deny should they so desire. So, it's an undenied rumour; whereas there's no story - even from sources less reliable than the CET that it's false. Only some folk who don't want to subscribe to the realisation that the upper management of our club is akin to a chimp's tea party

The club will most likely say no one else was offered the job when they present Robins to the media

Well, there's a story printed in the local paper saying they offered the job to one guy, who they'd interviewed twice, yet he's walked away as they couldn't agree terms. Makes them look foolish. By insinuation, it also makes Robins 'second choice'.

If there was no truth to it, I would have thought they'd be quick to quash it. One line on the official site. they've done it before when it suited

They are just rumours, so it might not be true, allegations are by Hoffman's papers Daily Mail and CET

However, no smoke without fire!

How the fook do you know if salary had been agreed in principle and Ince made further demands after the job offer that Fisher and Waggot refused?
