The 31-year-old was offered a new deal at the end of the season and he has now verbally accepted. The deal will be finalised when he returns from his summer break.

Would it not be worth Ken Deliu flying out to wherever Marlon is on holiday with a contract? I'd even pay for his flight (as long as Marlon's only gone to Dublin)

It's actually still on SSN on the telly too, it's only reported on their website.

Why Jarni? That was clearly a deal brokered where we got a tidy fee to play middle-man for a week.

It's just sky and the agent. CCFC wouldn't make such a trumpet call if it wasn't true.

To be fair it was more the deal that i was angry at than the player. For a brief moment it gave us the hope that we'd managed to attract a world class player and others would then follow. However it just turned out to be a money making exercise, and not even a good one at that, about half a million quid, which isn't really a lot by premiership standards.

I've just taken a look at his twitter page and to be fair he's unbelievable at getting back to people! Got to say it's good to see a direct link to contact with someone within the club who obviously likes to keep the fans informed, got a lot of time for him at the moment.

From what I've seen so far it does seem very much like it's King's agent stiring it up a bit.

I've tweeted to ask, but it looks as though he may have gone to bed.

Also, in the Telegraph report Thorn's quoted King as saying "there's no way he could play for anyone else now"! I'm very much under the impression this is just the agent.

To quote

"Ken & Andy have verbal agreement from both agent and Marlon as stated. Not sure where the unsubstantiated Sky story came from. #CCFC #PUSB"

Marlon said yes Brody, but he hasn't signed,
Marlon said yes Andy, but he hasn't signed,
Oh Marlon sign on the line.
