Forget the why can't Michael answer the phone. Why can't ML send an email? Presumably if it's in black and white it's harder to spin into someone else's fault if nothing happens and he can't use the old "I was misquoted" line.

Why would it be such an issue for ML to reply by email?
Surely this protects everyone involved including sisu. Unless of course ML is pulling everyones chain and just wants to pay a bit of lip service to spin into what he would deem as good PR.
The company I work for does almost all their sales and purchasing by email, it's the way the world works these days and the main reason we do it at work is because it leaves a paper trail that everyone can follow and no one party can backtrack on that.

I will make an offer to cover the rent, and SISU will not have to pay anything. Am absolutely certain ACL will accept my offer.
I give no detail about what my offer is... but I expect representatives of the club to drop everything to meet me to discuss my offer, without checking a few basic details first.
I will be in the Britannia Hotel on Thursday, I am sure Labovitch will nip up to meet me on that basis.

No it isn't. My opinion is Michael has been led up the garden path by the investors who are phone shy. Make your own mind up as to why. I feel sorry for him to be fair as he is trying hard to make things happen. I think he needs to choose friends wisely and they are not always those who hang on to his every word.
I must say I'm feeling a sense of irony thinking back to some discussions on here, where people have said "we could get back to the Ricoh, all sisu have to do is pick up the phone and make the call....."
