I spoke to the club earlier and they have tried to call michael all day. He won't pick up apparently.

Also Hoffman is the man behind the bid

Think that Michael has been used by people who should know better.

Don't think that anybody doubts Michael's dedication to KCIC, and has had some spectacular successes with some of his campaigns.

Obvious choice for a (generally) non-partizan figurehead that pretty much everybody could get behind.

Shamefully, it looks like he's now been left high and dry by his backers when it comes to getting to nitty gritty detail, and he's left whistling in the wind.

I just hope that Michael is ok, as he's taken a lot on himself with this, with little or no real back-up from what i can see.

These "mystery businessmen" should be ashamed of themselves.

I agree but if that is the case I hope Michael can just say what's happened rather than just take the burden while these backers hide away.

Yeah I wouldn't want michael been used as a fall guy for a failed deal

The club said they would meet with Michael. As Michael posted earlier, Labovitch isn't in Coventry this week and wants to sort something out next week. They have tried to call him but he won't answer. There is nothing for me to broker. Michael just needs to answer his phone to the club and a meeting is scheduled. It could even be done by text or email probably

Fair enough - let's hope that this gets back on track then.

It's like watching or listening in this case to eastenders.

Make a call and/or answer then meet next week.

So he can't speak on the phone before meeting? I'm sure you spoke to somebody on the phone before meeting up?

Unless he has misunderstood them which to be fair you can understand if ML is involved.

I can't see what the issue is. They want to meet / talk. Just get on with it. Answer the phone. Write an email. Sort it out and let's see where it goes

It's not me who keeps bringing it up, it's skyblue talks very own Jock Ewing. I'm just defending myself.

This sounds very positive and I really hope this brings the good news we all want which is a return to our home, Coventry. Well done Michael for getting this far and I will keep my fingers crossed.

So to clarify;
The club are made the offer, (well done Michael for finally making some progress, its way more than I or many others have done) they decide it may be worth some consideration and release a statement saying they are prepared to talk. They call Michael who will not answer because some people involved in the offer have been 'once bitten' re phone contact. Michael states on SBT that he wants a meeting and not a phone call and we return to stalemate. Is that right? Because I can hardly believe what I have just typed. How can we fail with this new spirit of trust and openness. Jesus fucking christ on a bike!

I bet it ain't that high. Grendull seems to have a very bad case of little man syndrome.

Still calling him 'Grendull' like some 10 year old playground bully then?

Hang on, is Michael refusing to take the call now? FFS! Forget anything else, let's not have another ridiculous reason this doesn't go through. (Apologies if I've got the wrong end of the stick here).

I think (though could be wrong) this particular line of pettiness comes about from G's own petty name calling.

It's like Lost tracing the sarcasm and in jokes on here.

No grendull is a name given by astute. Tony having no original concept of thought has copied it.

The offer is serious. A phone call to establish interest with some prior briefing documents is all that is required.

We a know what's gone on here. In the same way certain people hawked an American around they have now used Michael for their own ends.

It's disgusting.

Forget the why can't Michael answer the phone. Why can't ML send an email? Presumably if it's in black and white it's harder to spin into someone else's fault if nothing happens and he can't use the old "I was misquoted" line.

Bollocks to having a go at Michael if ML is serious send the fooking email and stop pulling everyone's chain.

The line is often used around here that well, what are you doing to help?

So it would be nice if your offer were taken in good faith. There is an impasse, and here is a way around that impasse.

Like I said earlier Hoffman is pulling the strings on this deal.

I really hope Michael is not being messed around and being put into the firing line
