To be honest, despite his protestations about it being boring. I'd have it on the radio with Eakin or similar and maybe some questions selected from fans and perhaps a fans rep to give right of reply.

The thing with that is the questions read out For all we know they could be "vetted" and full of "why haven't we bought Ronaldo", "Why did we sell David McGoldrick" type stuff.

I don't think SISU would let themselves get put into the position where they could be "mugged off" though would they?

To balance this he also said about the forum with every single party during the SCG Meeting last month which predates this.

Mr Labovitch offered I believe in the SCG latest minutes to set up this grand all party forum. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the acceptance from ACL, CCC, Charity, FL etc.

However he also offered on Friday nights CWR to have a forum with fans where Labovitch, Brookfield and Waggot were available to take fans questions. It is my understanding that the Trust offered to facilitate the organisation of that and to make it happen nothing more than that. A different forum ........... but his idea

Interesting that debate on here over the weekend was that the Tust wasn't militant enough, was too balanced............. and yet Labovitch maintains that the Trust has a history of being extremely hostile to the owners. It would seem asking awkward questions in an attempt to get the facts and clarity is some what more than an inconvenience to the owners & directors.

I think if Labradoodle manages to get a forum with all parties then it a forum with just CCFC would not be needed, would you agree with that OSB?

I would doubt a meeting with all parties is going to give any detail on the finances of the club and how we will finance the new stadium, cover losses etc so I'd be quite happy to have both but if there's only going to be one I'd prefer just SISU being quizzed on the accounts of the club. I couldn't really care less what the council or ACL are doing now we no longer have anything to do with them. I'm more interested in what is going to happen moving forward than raking over what has happened in the past.

It would only be worth having a forum where all questions are answered properly. And I can't see that happening.

You have a fair point there Chief.

Let's hope for two then, we could even get the many parties of the forum to have Darts like entrances!

The frustrating thing here is that Ann Lucas is on record as stating the strongest possible legal advice was to not comment ahead of the Judicial Review. SISU may, or may not like that advice, but it's out there and as such thus 'offer' seems akin to offering someone who's temporarily blinded a game of darts.

Moreover, in Fisher's own words, SISU have 'moved on', and are now - of course - working towards their new stadium. Within the context of their own recently submitted accounts, what's appropriate about CCC, ACL, Higgs of the ghost of Mother Teresa of Calcutta for that matter, being present to discuss them in isolation?!?

But ACL shouldn't say "no thanks". They should turn up. So should everyone else involved in this mess. I think a public forum is a better option that a closed meeting anyway.

Hiding behind the JR doesn't do anyone any good.

They don't need an external party to turn up to explain their position to the fans.

Actually no Robbo because what happens at these big forums is that the likes of Linnel (whilst doing a decent job) pick out as many people as they can to make sure lots have their say and each effectively get a minute to ask one question which gets a vague answer before the host moves on to the next person to ask the same question in a different way to get a similar vague answer.

If you want proper answers the forum on the accounts needs to be much smaller so that issues can be expanded upon and detail drawn out. Not a place that I think Labovitch etc would want to go if challenged by people with the right skills

Labovitch knows damn well that CCC, ACL, Charity are not going to put themselves in to such a forum run by the club (SISU) but chaired by an independent person. It is just more spin and PR. ACL, Charity, FL have no need or desire to do this. The CCC you could argue as a public body should do it but as the whole thing is now going to court on the behest of ARVO, SBS&L , CCFCH (ie SISU) why would they want to? Just more PR spin in my opinion.

Thanks OSB I can't help but think many of the stories that have come out from all sides over the last six months have been PR Spin to some extent. I'd hope it would happen but I think you may well be right, we could always have the smaller forum and MMM could bring a blindfold and we could all play darts in the blind!

Questions....... if the club is steaming ahead with building a new stadium, the only connection CCFC now have to the Ricoh is two badges on the wall and tugging at most fans emotions, the CCC are not interested in selling the freehold and ACL are apparently profitable without CCFC being there, what actual use is a rabble rousing forum on the well thumbed saga of the Ricoh? Even the court will not establish all the facts, only the ones relevant to the 4 claims of the JR that have been made - and the the court is likely to be much more thorough than a fans forum

Aren't we as fans more interested in what is currently happening with our club, its players, its finances etc?.......... if we are not then we should be.

In which case the Grand Labovitch Forum is just a distraction or side show that serves no real purpose other than to promote SISU's version and potentially open up new avenues for legal action for them to use

I agree they should. And I would buy ticket for ringside.
But they won't accept the invitation.
Sisu are clearly trying to set the agenda and the other parties won't accept that.

Too bad the club refused to meet with members of the Trust. They should have the meeting and have an independent secretary doing the minutes.

This is confusing me now, MMM and I have posted that we'd like to see these forums with a Darts orientated style to it and Godiva would like either a Boxing or Wrestling style to it, we can't do both

That's the same impression I got from the CWR interview. Somehow every question about the state of the accounts came round to comments about ACL and CCC. I couldn't care less what's in their accounts and if they are accurate or not, they aren't anything to do with us anymore.

You're falling into their trap Torchy. The question that was dodged with this offer was about "detailed financial questions" being answered by the club. This has nothing to do with CCC/ACL or B&Q, it's purely about the club and their ambitions for the future and starting to rebuild the relationship with the fanbase.

If they wanna talk about the Ricoh, then fine. But what I really want to know if their plans for the future of our club stand up to scrutiny.

They know full well that the Council can't talk on legal advice until after the JR, so let's have that forum after that, when all's out in the open.

Well, the club is complaining about loss of revenue. I think a boxing match Asian style would make a lot more than a dart match. Could even be TV money in it.

Fair point, we wouldn't be able to afford Michael Buffer though Godiva so you'll have to show the world how it's done.

If Sisu wanted to get more of us round to their point of view, surely letting experts like OSB58 question them about their plans would make sense - same with ACL. Although given we're still marching ahead with the new stadium inviting ACL seems odd as they're nothing to do with our club. Sadly I suspect that any public meeting would have to be after the JR if it was going to involve ACL or the Council.

Pretty sure the offer of a forum was to the fans in response to questions about CCFC's accounts and the viability of the new stadium.

They have explained to us why they have moved out of the Ricoh.
Why they are taking out the JR.

Whether we agree with it or not was not the subject. They have explained their reasons.
On Friday he was asked about CCFC's books
He was asked how the investors would get a return for their investment of 65 million.

He could not answer either question in any modicum of what could be described as an satisfactory answer. I assume he was aware he had failed to answer and so offered a meeting with the fans to answer these questions.

The fans have attempted to take him up on this offer and he has now changed the goal posts. He has invited people who have public ally stated that they are not prepared to talk till the JR is over. So they can't say yes.

I assume we are now back to the forum originally promised. CWR arranged the last one can they now arrange a new one?

Fair play to the trust for trying by the way

If the biggest body representing the fans has not been critical of your handling of matters in the past.

If you are confident of your position regarding the finances of the new stadium then face them and convince them. Change their mind. Don't avoid them and only speak to people who are frightened to ask the difficult questions

I do find it distasteful that labovitch is seemingly allowed to make slanderous comments, and both him and fisher make extremely hostile comments towards acl and the council, but the second anyone questions them they don't like it.
It's as if they are trying to fool us oh to believing that they are angels in all this.
Labovitch is a twat of a man. Him and fisher really do treat us like they walked us in on the bottom of their shoe

What did you really expect.
It was there idea but now turn it down
It was their idea to move away and blame others
It was their Idea to get 7000 fans in Northampton but blame others road works on kamikaze island being the latest? (must have been a council Plot)

So now when ccc ACL etc turn it down they can blame others again.

So we should have forums smaller ones are much better but they need to be separate so that more questions can be asked from all sides. or they need to be in the same format as question time were we pick the 6 most asked questions and they all answer them then have time to be cross examined after all answers have been given.
