I haven't got the answers if I did I wouldn't be on here, I would be chairman but as we all know. The current regime is not working on and off the pitch and something needs to change. Otherwise league 2 football in front of 5,000 fans will be a reality

They own 33% of the management company and benefit from the stadium. Even in a short space of time finances in football have changed, 4 years of parachute payments for a start, the amendment of the FFP rules for the championship (originally only allowing £5m losses, changed last year to £13m). Yes they weren't in force before swansea rose through the league's , but then again neither were 4 years PL payments.

We know on a rent only limited/no access to revenues we have one of the lowest 3-4 turnovers in the league, where's the fan owners going to get the money from to fund losses to tread water in the championship let alone push on? Our relegation season the wage bill of the 3 promoted clubs was circa x3 our entire turnover.

Have the FL said anything about the Trusts FOI's calling SISU's claims of progress on the new stadium into question?

Ooops my mistake. That's a question about the club, its future and something that's relevant to the club moving forward (or to a different town). I apologise for trying to talk about the club, I'll start a thread in the off topic section.

I can't imagine if someone wanted to come in and do to us what has happened at Chelsea, Man City or even Southampton anyone would be complaining we weren't fan owned.

Why would the FL get involved? We are currently playing in Coventry so they aren't going to get involved in anything.

IIRC they had to approve the 2 + 2 year deal as exceptional circumstances as the league rules state that members must have a minimum 10 year arrangement at there current ground. So if my memory is correct it has everything to do with them.

Swansea benefitted from a supportive and forward thinking council. Swansea benefit from an agreement that allows them to have to lots of revenue stream.

This week we found out that the leader of our council bullshitted about the financial performance of the company that owned the stadium that was originally built for us.

Lets cut to the chase... the only reason the people that are leading the push for fan ownership is because some of them were promised that they could have their little bit of the club.. and they like the idea of the power/control/prestige it would bring.

Given we are only 4 months into said arrangement.. it's probably not on their radar currently.

You're probably right. But the reality is they're burying their heads in the sand. Even with proof of progress there is little chance of the apparent new stadium being completed by the time the 4years are up and zero chance of it happening in 2 years. Given that supporter groups, local newspapers and a football blogger can't find even a hint of evidence that anything that we've been told is happening has actually happened and every self proposed deadline for announcements have passed don't you think it should be on the FL's radar. It's not like no ones giving them the heads up is it?

But they must have already approved that so they aren't going to take any further interest until we reach the end of it.

You could in fact make a case that the only change is the fanfare of rebuilding trust has not been followed through.

Thus giving the football club a ready made excuse to franchise itself off anywhere.
