Not sure how they are now charging a yearly subsection. That would go against the terms when signed up. Surely a new cost model would have to be voted in my members,

Pete, is there anything in the rules of the Trust that stops you putting pets forward as next years board members?

I am sure we can get a slate together of pets from this place and urge people to vote for them.

As their biggest critic, I’ll re-join. I’ll give them a year to see if their voting platforms have changed etc.

if It’s still go down the squirrel on a Monday night I can cancel.

@shmmeee always championed putting your money where your mouth. So it’s worth the initial £2 to see if they’ve changed

Had mine , not renewing and to be honest not sure why I subscribe in the first place if I ever did ! going to put that £2 towards my membership fee at Leamington and Warwick SC at least you get something for your money ( pre priority away tickets) .

good on you. For the price of a coffee it’s worth a shot to see if we can get the most recognised group outside of the club to be representative.

I do hope the annual membership is opt-in to a further year membership and not opt-out.

This way, you can see their active membership and workout if the next AGM should be held in a phone box or not.

Apparently there are 2,000 members and engagement is very active and a 40% e mail click through against an industry average of 15%

Signing up to a newsletter is not membership and certainly not agreement with the Trust's position.

You would think that they would clarify this.

Clearly

They are trying to get “brand partners” and sponsors to put money in - for what purpose no idea - so it’s trying to make it look bigger than it is

Websites using generic images aren’t great - especially a football one.

Full of generic cliches really

This is why we need an opt-in. The Trust requires explicit consent from the membership to carry on with the claim that they are the voice of everyone and not just a few nutjobs who meet up in a pub a few times a year.

Seems to me to be just too much of a risk by giving these people my personal information and bank details.
