A Sky Blues Talk Fantasy Football league has been set up on Sky Sports Fantasy Football (thanks tom88 for setting this up). It is free to create a team on Sky Sports Fantasy Football (and you will be eligible for all of their many prizes) and will cost £5 to enter the Sky Blues Talk league, with the prize pot being split as follows:-

  • 1st place - 60%
  • 2nd place - 30%
  • 3rd place - 10%

To enter you will need to do the following:-

  1. Go to https://fantasyfootball.skysports.com
  2. At the top right of the screen click join or, if you have played any of Sky Sports Fantasy Football, Super 6, Sky Bet, Sky Poker or Sky Vegas before you can login using your existing login details.
  3. Pick your team. You can choose from various formations and have £75 million to spend.
  4. Once your team is created, click on the "Leagues" link, then click "Join a league".
  5. Enter the league PIN 8039210 and click join league (if you have more than one team on Sky Sports Fantasy Football you will have to choose which team to enter at this stage - believe you can have up to 2 teams. Feel free to enter both at £5 each).
  6. When you have entered the PIN you will also be asked for a password. This is fantasy123
  7. At this stage you will need to pay your league fee. If you already have a Sky Bet/Sky Poker/Sky Vegas account you will just need to make a deposit (if necessary) and pay. If you are new to Sky Bet, etc. then you will need to create an account to pay. The site will guide you through this. You can use any credit or debit card, or paypal.

That will then be your team entered into the Sky Blues Talk Fantasy Football league.

For those that would prefer to do this on your mobile please find below links to download the Sky Sports Fantasy Football app:-

  • Apple iTunes

  • Google Play

For more info on How to enter follow this link:- https://fantasyfootball.skysports.com/help/
For info on the scoring system used follow this link:- https://fantasyfootball.skysports.com/help/scoring/
For more info on the prizes offered by sky follow this link:- https://fantasyfootball.skysports.com/help/prizes/

It may be a nice distraction from everything else that's going on and a bit of friendly banter so would be nice to see as many as possible get involved (and the more people involved the bigger the prizes will be!).

Any questions please ask...

Agree. Would hope for more though. Some may wait until closer to the start of the season, which is what I used to do. Tend to get unlimited transfers up to start of the season these days (as is the case here) so I do it early now and fiddle with my team coming up to the start of the season.

The league is currently at 6 people with a £30 prize fund.

With less than 4 weeks to go please make sure you enter.

You have unlimited transfers until the season starts so worth entering now to save disappointment

Looking through the players while picking my team, I was thinking the Premier League looks like it's going to be very average this year.

Agree. When you look at the players in Spain it blows the premier league out the water.

Premier league desperately needs some marquee players.

Are you in now then kg82 or still picking your team?

Not tinkering with my side. Will only make changes if there are injuries or someone isn't playing.

Normally do OK when it is down to results of games. Don't normally do this sort of thing though so on a big learning curve.

I didn't doubt for a second you would be in if there is money involved.

What are you trying to say?

OK I like a little flutter But the most I can lose is less than £20 a month. My £200 for this season is already deposited. My usual aim is to make it into 1k by the end of the season. But if I lose it all that is it for the season.

It's a good idea. Might do something similar.

I start off nice and steady. A fiver for decent odds or tenner good odds. Never bet more than 10% of my pot. Look for bets against clubs that have late injuries. Never bet on odds on. And as my pot grows so do my stakes.

One thing to consider is that the bookies have to give odds on nearly 50 games nearly every weekend and midweek. Look for the generous odds. Don't bet for the sake of having a bet. Some weeks I have a fair few bets. Some weeks I have none. It keeps the odds in our favour and not the bookies.
