It's that time of year again, where we all stop what we are doing for a week so that lads too old for the England U-21s can play against a Pyrenean political anomaly the size of Nuneaton. To help stave off the boredom, here's a Sky Blues Quiz for you. Answers at some point over the weekend, all facts are from Wikipedia so bonus points will be awarded to any pedants who can prove otherwise.

Q1. Name 5 players who have played for City and scored at a FIFA World Cup finals
Q2. Name the cup semi finals City competed in during the 1980s
Q3. We all know we're the Sky Blues, a lot of us know we used to be The Bantams, but what were we before that?
Q4. Clarrie Bourton is famously our record goalscorer- who is the 2nd highest?
Q5. Name the first USA international to play for City?
Q6. Who played for City, and also played 51 times for England?
Q7. City have played in all 4 tiers of English football- what are our highest league positions in each tier?
Q8. What's the missing word? 'Southern Professional _____ Cup Holders, you'll never sing that...'
Q9. Name the teams City have played in FA Cup Quarter Finals.
Q10. Name the subs from the L2 play off final v Exeter. For fans of squad depth, a bonus point for how many times that seven played for City in the league during their careers.

Wegerle was before Jones?

The subs were deffo JCH, Ponticelli and Reid as they came on. O'Brien must be the sub keeper, Maguire-Drew was that year and I think McDonald was the sub cb. Not sure on the other or the games played

should clarify that I'm lumping Div 3 N&S in with the standard 3rd Division/ league one as all part of third tier. But yes you're quite right, only club to have played in Div 4, 3 N&S, 2, 1 & prem I believe.

Apart from Wolves and Sheff Wed, I think we played Sheff Utd in QF and lost (but could have been last 16 so maybe ignore me)

No googling or looking at others' answers:

1- Moldovan, Breen, Keane, others
2- West Ham, League Cup (81?); Leeds, FA Cup (87); Reading, Simod Cup (88); Forest, League Cup (89)
3- Singers used to be the club name. Were we the Blackbirds for a bit when we had a black kit for a bit in the 19th century?
4- I do not know. SHAME ON ME.
5- Got to be a trick; presumably someone before Jones. I don't know, though. Jones.
6- Joe Cole?
7- Div 4 - 2nd; Div 3 - 1st; Div 2 - 1st; Div 1 - 6th
8- No idea; a region or place doesn't work grammatically there either.
9- Man Utd, someone in 1981, Sheffield Wednesday, Sunderland, somebody in 1988, Chelsea, Wolves
10- Ponticelli & JCH. Other than them, no idea.

I am a bad fan.

And not reading the question properly.

FA Cup quarter finalists, not quarter finalists.

Manchester United, Sheffield Wednesday, Chelsea, Wolves. Are the ones I either know or think I know.

Yeah, completely forgot that one.

Also, was it Man United in the early 60s? As a third division side, after beating Sunderland or something. That's what I have in my head, anyway.
