I hate these kind of stories and it builds my expectation. I much prefer reading that a deal is done and dusted and we've not known a thing about it. All of a sudden I feel Dylan McGeouch is the most important player in the world and we desperately need to sign him. I gotta lie down.

It must be depressing to be a Celtic/Scottish football fan at the minute; what exactly does it say about Celtic that they're losing one of their up and coming prospects to a skint League 1 club without a ground? The days of Henrik Larsson must seem a long long time ago at the minute.

From our point of view though get it done, does from all reports seem to be a really good talent.

The Sky Blues boss faces an injury dilemma up front with Callum Wilson out for three months with a shoulder injury and Leon Clarke is a doubt with a groin problem.

Wilson and Clarke have scored 33 goals between them in all competitions this season, with Clarke the current top-scorer in League One.

Even though the City boss admits it is difficult to operate in the January transfer market, he is hoping to move quickly.

Pressley said: "With the situation as it currently is, we need to get a striker in. We are hoping to get one in for the Crawley game as if we don't, we could be left short up front because of injuries.

"It is very difficult. Every single club is currently out there looking for a striker to get them goals. Clubs don't always want to let strikers go.

"Any striker you're interested in, there might be several other clubs also vying to get the same player. We are working hard on it and we've made several calls.

"We're speaking to a lot of agents to try and get their clients to the club. One thing I have said is we need somebody with a bit of league experience at this moment in time."

Several media reports in Scotland this morning linked the club with a move to Celtic midfielder Dylan McGeouch.

Whilst Pressley admitted he has always admired the 20-year old, he is still a Celtic player.

He added: "He is playing at Celtic and he has had limited appearances this season.

"He is a player I have always been aware of and a player I have always admired.

"But, he is a Celtic player so that is all I have got to say on the matter at this moment in time."

It's never been about them being short of money. Sisu are not skint. What we do knowis whatever they spend they will eventually want back .

He scored this goal when he was 18? Now he is 20. He has only scored this goal. Flecky is now living up to expectation and MAYBE people north of the border see SP turning around this kid's career. As Scotland edges closer to independence they are becoming more isolated especially in football terms. SP is seen as being a pioneer and his reputation is Scotland is 'frightingly' high. We should ride on that fact and get a few Dundee Utd kids with us.
