Seems a great lad. Such a shame his injury came at the time it did.

Genuinely lovely guy who despite having some shabby treatment from the club still loves Coventry city - wish him well with his coaching career

I think it was the way he was let go & it wasn’t handled well from what Ivor said in the pod

I think football clubs can still be pretty brutal in the manner in which they release players, and considering the young age of some of those players it can undoubtedly be potentially scarring on their mental health. It would therefore be unsurprising if some have an ongoing bitterness about their perceived ill treatment. By the sounds of it, Lawton isn't one of those players.

I think he had a bad time after release from but thankfully he’s better now thanks to support of family & friends but other players aren’t so lucky

When you look at all the youngsters who played for us under Pressley Lawton was unlucky that his first team debut took so long

He’s doing his coaching badges & watches cov often at CBS now
