#SimonGilbertHour. Don't get above yourself. You haven't earned hero status yet to get a whole day

Have to say I am a little disappointed with the Sports Ministers response

Well done for your coverage Simon. Where do you take it from here though? There are still many questions to ask of the club and its owners but also I feel of those that run the game. Will you and the CT press those questions to all those parties and get proper answers?
Getting mentioned in Parliament wont have hurt your employment profile - unlike some.
who knows you might get nominated for Midlands Reporter of the Year
Giggles at Simons User Title on the left
Simon - perhaps you can now turn your attention to the farce surrounding the opening (or not) of the South Stand. I would love to hear an explanation from the SAG.
Simon, please don't forget your roots when you become a world famous investigative reporter!.
Looks like it will be opened now. Probably concern over the proximity of supporters. Not sure if Gillingham is known for its hooligan element though...

Not opening 9 or 10 to home fans, something they did for Crewe game. Camera angle being what it is, that end will essentially look empty on TV. A real shame and nobody willing to explain why.
When we played Spurs, away, a few seasons back, there was only about 10 feet of netting between us and the Spurs fans - if that. No empty blocks, no line of Police. Where's the common principle at play here?
I hasten to add, Tottenham aren't unusual in that regard - it's the last time I can recall being at an away game with close to capacity crowds.
Again, and I hate to offer tacit support twice for our glorious owners in the same thread - but this has to be a Police call/stewarding issue. There's no way our owners could wish to turn away paying punters
The Sky Blues were debated in House of Commons yesterday.

Exactly, they would charge people watching on Sky if they could. There would be no way they wouldn't sell every single seat if they could.
I don't see the need for all the heavies, unless they are expecting some sort of protest etc?
