If the FL pulled their finger out and called an emergency meeting there might not be a need for a switch during the season.

Next time you talk to the FL can you ask them why they cant call an emergency meeting and deal with this £590K issue sooner rather than later.

If you havent already asked them that is.

Cheers

Simon.

While you are at it can you ask ACL if they are willing to compromise and hold talks prior to the seventh?

Nothing stopping them talking about a conditional deal is there?

I tweeted earlier - ACL told me today their position remains the same. No talks until money owed paid to them and appeal dropped. I don't expect this to change until after August 7 when the Football League meets to decide on the issue of payment.

Simon, I don't see any quotes from officials confirming your headline, just a detailing of their rules.

As we know their 'make it up as we go along' clause enables them to cheefully ignore their own rules, did you get any quotes of the FL or did they just point you in the direction of the relevant rules?

(That's not having a dig at you btw)

They're missing a boat there. If they get a deal agreed in principle with SISU but wont sign until they've recieved the £590K in full how can the FL not pay them in full? Biting of your nose to spite your face springs to mind. As for the appeal, if SISU keep mentioning that they wont drop it during negotiations ACL would be better of just laughing at them and going "yer whatever"

I spoke with them and they confirmed clubs could change grounds during the season - subject to the board's approval. They also pointed me towards the relevant rules which provide the necessary information.

As per the article, it would have to be agreed by the League's board.

I've got a fiver on our last home match being a league decider rearranged for Wembley to satisfy demand, so this is music to my ears, this.

That's nice to know. I'll just book time of work without a moments notice then if we come home. No problem at all.

simon i agree with your point about nothing happening till 7th august ,my only caveat would be that now the manager has made such direct comments, which could mean we either sort this out or i,m off the club may try to do a deal asap

You really should be asking the question as to why they can't hold an emergency meeting earlier prior to the season kicking off as there is a glimmer of hope the club could return.

I find the football league slowness a complete joke.

Sisu want to do a deal. It's well known now. Like SP days both sides have to compromise else it won't work.

Mid season rule is shit. It shouldn't be allowed. You either start there or nothing. It doesn't make sense. You declare your ground for the years fixtures and that's it. Another bollocks rule

But it's still a good rule for us though surely? Or would you prefer another entire season out of Coventry if things don't sort themselves out quickly?

I see the point. I would rather come home of course but the rule makes no sense it's like changing your fixtures around after been given them. This is the season and that should be that. It would take the gloss off coming home for me.

The move should happen now with season tickets sold and the buzz being created.

You could have a game at sixfields on the Saturday and the Ricoh the following Wednesday. What's that all about?

Then maybe this is the time for the CET and the trust to put a little pressure on ACL.

Why in earth not have the talks, but say to SISU if we agree a deal it will not be signed off, unless those two conditions are met.
It ridiculous that the fans may miss out on our club for another year due to mindless stubbornness.

I don't think it would effect CCFC fans so much a mid season return.

But a bit harsh on away fans who would have arranged travel, hotels etc for the game at Sixfields to then be at the Ricoh. I know if I was a fan of another club, I wouldn't book anything til the last minute regarding CCFC

Don't think I've ever given my opinion on the MK Dons. The only reason I didn't go last season was because I was working though I believe.

Nice angle though.
