Join the Trust even if you dont agree with them? You either do or dont your post is ridiculousI joined the Sky Blue Trust at the last Home game , signed up in the Casino before the game.
I had a brief chat with one of the Trust and told him that I disagree with quite a lot of what they are promoting or at least what they seem to promote in particular the point that we (City) do nt need to own the Stadium. I m glad Sisu drew a line and said the rents to high i m glad they took on the Council who I still believe have not got any intention to sell any part of the Ricoh to anyone , not Sisu not anyone.
I do believe theres a place for the Trust, they need numbers to voice an opinion from a position of strength. Now I think Sisu need to go albeit I think this season they ve not been too bad , well compared to the previous seasons where they were awful. I am still glad that when this shit all ends the club wo nt be held to ransom by Acl and the Council. Roll on new owners, hopefully and yes Im a vilified season ticket holder of many years and yes I ll be getting a new one where ever we end up playing. I do nt like the Ricoh particularly another Council rip off no parking etc

So what do you think that they are promoting apart from a fans voiceI joined the Sky Blue Trust at the last Home game , signed up in the Casino before the game.

Do nt think so.
The Trust are supposed to take all fans views into account.
I disagree with some things particularly we do nt need to own our own ground.
I agree with other things they promote, i.e stop the pissing contest and work out a new deal that benefits the club
or certain parties preferably Sisu sell up.
Thanks for your input BHSB
They do take all fans views into account I just thought it strange that you would say join the trust even if you dont agree with it if you had said even if you dont agree with everything I could understand. I dont agree with everything but I am a member not owning the stadium or part of it is not as I understand the trusts stance correct me if I'm wrong any trust membersDo nt think so.

I was going to join the SB Trust via the website, but was put off by the amount of personal details they were asking for, plus the application page didn't appear to have an SSL certificate in place (to encrypt your personal details between your browser and their server).
Also when I wanted to read the Terms and Conditions - it's a broken link (sigh)
Sadly, I'll pass.

I pointed this out a while back so used a false address!
It is ridiculous to imply these guys are "the voice of the people" - they CLEARLY aren't. It is basically the sounding board for ONE person and ALWAYS has been. Have you ever tried putting a differing position to the SBT? Boy are they vitriolic! How DARE you disagree with the trust!
And what precisely have they ACTUALLY achieved? They have ALREADY dropped their pledge purpose for existence! It was set up QUOTE "as a LAST RESORT". When did this cease to be the case?
o?.
Its all a power trip for the clique at the top. MUST BE - they hold their meetings in a place INCAPABLE of housing all the members! The only way they are "elected" was when they were first formed. Supposedly 1000's of fans yet NO further votes - funny that!
They are trying to get a seat on the board by the back door - but what if that seat could be filled by someone providing much needed funds to the club?
Why aren't they advocating a share issue for fans? Surely THEN they could claim to be democratic, but until they think of the FANS before their own SELFISH desire for power, they are BAD for the club, and should be avoided by the plague!
But they have no intention of pushing for a share issue, because they smell power, and like parasites, will not let go until they get bite of the cherry.
They are simply self serving parasites
Out of curiosity, how do the Trust decide what line to take?
Do they:
- Set line based on its elected leaders? Which wouldn't necessarily be the fans' voice.
- Have a vote of all it's members to decide? Direct democracy, but is this practical?
Just wondering, it'd be nice of I could get an official answer

top post, the reason i wont join is that people they have on thier so called board
jackmartin; Can I ask why your not keen on who is on board?
We are here because we were voted on and most of us are more than happy to step down if and when possible as being on the Trust Board takes up a great deal of time. I would much rather be just a member of the trust and carry on supporting the club, but in these difficult times some people need to do more than just be a supporter.
It concerns me that some people feel the way you do and I personally would be more than happy to discuss your concerns, am sure you will see I am just a normall fan like yourself.
Join the Trust even if you dont agree with them? You either do or dont your post is ridiculous
Just to be clear Natalie is no longer a Trust board member nor has she been since the "new" Trust resurrected itself. As Steve says if anyone has skills that they feel would add to the boards current skill set then please get in touch. We feel we have a good mix of ages, abilities, strengths but as with every fledgling organisation (and please remember we have only really been going 9 months) we will make mistakes but we are learning from them and will try not to repeat them.
Despite what some may feel we are very open to new ideas and input. All our contact details are on the Trust website but if anyone wants to get in for touch with me directly either PM me here or email me at jan.mokrzycki@btinternet.com
I would urge anyone with an interest in what we are trying to achieve to come to an open meeting, meet us and fellow Trust members - remember at the heart of this is not some fanciful desire for world domination from our lair at the base of a dormant volcano but the simple fact that we are all Cov fans who love and care about our club. If the opportunity ever arises for the Trust to have a representative on the club board then please be assured that the method for choosing that member would be totally democratic and open.
It was the lair at the base of a dormant volcano and the chance to wear a rather fetching bright red jumpsuit that was attracting me to the Trust to be honest.
Sorry the jump suits are Sky Blue - too predictable I know! As for people of restricted growth - we do not descriminate on grounds of height, weight, race, sex or nay other grounds except maybe football affiliation!! We did have a joining ceremony that involved a goat, a rubber glove and a checking for sky blue blood but after we were fooled by Mark Robins and the goat got pregnant we have resorted to a simple form and a pound!
I joined and I'm a moron - sorry you said Mormon! No problem as long as all wives become members too! All religions welcome except maybe one involving David Ike and lizard people!
Joining the Trust if you don't agree with them is the only to facilitate any change to them that you would agree with surely?
Or is only one point of view allowed?
