What can they do to help? Unless they know of any billionaires?

If a club goes into Admin a supporters trust can register their interest to buy shares in the club. Which is what Swansea did now their trust own 20% of the club

Think it would be great to have the Trust owning the club.

"Good morning, just like to go through the accounts. As you know we took over the club from Sisu when they went under last month, and now the club is owned and run, by us tyhe fans"

Round of applause, shouts of "Right on brother!", "Power to the people!" "Won't be selling any of our best players now", "Let's go and buy some players to get us back into the Championship", "Fuck off Sisu!".

"Okay, we've got the rent due tomorrow, we have all 100 members here, so could i have a thousand ponds each please?"

Stunned silence...

"Wages due as well, so that'll be another £4500 each to see us through the month, also looking at raising a transfer budget, £5million seems a figure most want, so around £50,000 each should cover it, bang, bang, bang then. Would be a bit less, but people won't buy season tickets untillm we've bought a load of players first, so needs must"

"Any questions?"

A hand goes up

"Yes?"

"Er, how much were we offered for Keogh again?"

More join in

"Our young players are more than good enough for this league, don't need to go around wasting money when not needed"

"Anybody interested in Crainie?"

Cannot believe you have to ask "what can they do"?
If/When the club goes into Admin they can possibly save the name of Coventry City Football Club.
As a group they can talk with the FA, Supporters organisations, Other clubs with same problems, as a group they can get legal and finanicial advice thats difficult as individuals.
Check out what Blackburn and Portsmouth are doing or look at where Swansea are now, a few years ago they were at an even lower point than us with crap owners.
All SISU are trying to do is sell tickets and divide supporters, they have no interest in the Football club or the supporters.

Every Coventry fan should join the SBT (£1). The other choice is to bury our heads in the sand and hope this will all blow over.

Tell you what we will do we'll all sit on our hands and say we can't find a billionaire so we wont do anything and if anybody tries to get the fans together we'll soon try and put a stop to that. How do we do that? Easy what we do is post on here and other sites and say
a) They are in the pocket of Sisu
b) They are part of the Sisu out brigrade

Either way weve got them. Sound familiar?

you can all joke but it wont be funny when the shit hits the fan... and it will soon, We will be at the bullyard tommorrow (between Litten Tree and Glasshouse)

We will have a big presence there, We would urge any fans coming into the city centre tommorrow to come and visit us. Its £1 to join the trust right now and when you join you will be entered into a prize draw of which the top prize is a ccfc season ticket. 2 2012/2013 shirts and several other items. The memebership allows you to vote. We have an agm on 10th July at the Squireel pub, The owner is a cov fan and willing to shut the pub for us if we need the whole place.

We have met with the council and we are also meeting with the portsmouth administrator shortly.
If the club is put into administration we have 28 days to act. That could be finding high net worth cov fans to invest coupled with city fans pledges. This is the model Pompey have gone down and they have raised the capitol to launch a rival bid to their old owners bid.

Its not impossible but if people sit back, leave it to the next person or bury their heads in the sand then sooner or later we may not have a club

It won't be easy. we may not even be needed but if we are we want to be in a position to act

Gary, take no notice of the lordsummerisle type on here because ridicule, piss take and smart arse replies is what they get off on. Do they ever give alternatives ? no. A Trust is our (the fans) only vehicle as it is LEGAL. We (the fans) boobed 5 years ago by becoming complacent and not building a Trust up and hats off to the few who kept it alive. Even if the chinaman, Bill Gates and the owners of Tata all rolled into one turned up and bought our club the Trust should carry on regardless and independently, you never know. Just look at the Chelsea situation. Roman Abramovic is their god but the pitch association the fans have set up to protect Stamford Bridge has so far prevented the Russian from moving away from Chelsea's roots.

Those wondering about Trusts and it is easy to get scynicle especially with the succesion of arseholes we have had running things here just take a bit of time and read what the Swansea fans did a few years ago, there are other examples too, exeter City for one but Swansea is where we want to be and should be so thats the best example as i see things

Takes time. There's an AGM coming up, get that out of the way and progress from there. There are individuals doing stuff now, one comes down from Yorkshire doing printing and bits so things are happening. Remember from small acorns big oak trees grow.

I joined up today. We all need to get involved in this and show a united front to any potential investors. The bigger the membership of the trust, the more potential fan base an investor will see.

Well done to you lads on Saturday.
With the support your getting we might not become the next Rangers.

I think some people need to actually find out more about the plight our club is in and know the facts not just the rumours and what your mate said down the pub. The Trust is our only potential way of saving the name of Coventry City Football Club, we need a plan in place so that if or when we go into Admin we can do something before we are Liquidated. Rangers are a prime example of not having anything in place and now they can never be Rangers again.
One voice.

Being completely honest the last Sky Blue Trust ran by that Natalie bloke were a joke and achieved nothing.

What do you plan to do differently? What will speaking to other clubs who are up shit creek achieve?

"Hey Portsmouth, how's things"
"Pretty shit to be honest, no money and no players"
"Same here...speak again next week"

We don't need a trust we need a billionaire to come in and wipe the debt and take us on. A trust ran by a group of people who have no idea how to achieve anything (with regards to this) won't help anything.

Do you really think SISU give a fuck if 250 people decide to come together and form a trust? Maybe you should build a sky blue coffin or write a badly written slogan on a dirty piss and spunk stained bed sheet and hold it aloft?

Why?

Well tell me what they achieved last time they made a trust? Not a lot it seems? They were widely ridiculed from what I remember.

Tell me why SISU will care what the Trust say or do?

And, yes the protest a few months back was a complete and utter embarrassment. I respect the people for trying to do something but you're wasting your time.
