My view and only my view, people who are anti the trust are the ones that should come and talk to the trust as we need to hear why your not up to supporting a group that wants what's best for the supporters.
We are not experts or pretend to know all the answers, we are just a group of genuine loyal City fans who want to try and make things better.

Rather than knock us why not talk to us and tell us what you would do instead?

I have a lot of things that need to be done but this club is important to me and I have no thoughts, needs or the knowledge to be anything more than an active member of the Trust.

Pompey seem to be close to securing FP and you guys could do with movement on that front,as its crazy that a club thats given the game so much could end up playing away from the city.If you fail to get a stadium within Coventry within (I think) four years then you could lose your golden share and face extinction.

Its also important for your Trust to acknowledge every fans input and let everyone have a say,so that you remain united even if youre not collectively sure of how to proceed.

I dont know if it helps but we had a march to show our displeasure which gained maximum publicity ,and at the time of our admin placed flowers around the Bremner statue to do the same.This sort of thing really makes good headlines and draws support from the general public and puts pressure on those who are in the decision making process.

Cheers, Plumbs. I'm Sky Blue Trust membership Sec (I don't bother hiding my identity on here) and the last week or so has been unbelievable. Membership increased by over 50% in 48 hours and more and more people keep joining. We had a great pre match meet with Pompey Trust yesterday. They are within touching distance of ownership of their club, and there's nothing like talking to people who have been there, got the t-shirt etc. Here, the rival pr/spin of acl (who own the Ricoh stadium) and sisu (who own the club) have divided a lot of fans into being pro/anti sisu/acl but Pompey trust told us they have worked on the basis of some pretty straight forward ideas eg they were owned by supposedly successful businessmen and look what a mess they created; who is to say any new big investor will be any different so work with local ones who buy into the idea of a supporter led ownership model; and a sustainable long-term business plan is more important than promises of short term success based on unsound finance. It took a long time but gradually people began to buy into the vision. Everything we are experiencing with the Sky Blue Trust, including from some posters on this forum (!) is exactly what the Pompey Trust went through and it's good to hear another trust has been through that and successfully come through it. Things at cov are so volatile it could go a number of ways but at least we're giving it a go.

I was trying to say its the anti trust people we need to talk to, not those who already believe.
We need to hear there view, thoughts and ideas , if we are doing something wrong then lets put it right?

I was just joking that they obviously didnt serve woo woo so people wouldnt come

The thing is, if people say anything opposing they usually just get "well what are you doing" and "its more than what you have done" rather than a "well what do you think we should be doing?" That puts people off going.

Your post is the first one ive seen actually asking for constructive feedback!

Absolutely right - as I suggested earlier Survey Monkey or similar plus don't simply canvass...ask questions. It might help to make SBT more appealing. SBT might well already be doing stuff that the vast majority of fans want - but are they publicising the right things? I.E what fans want or on there own agenda/what they have decided we should want??

Must be honest Nick, my views and thought are changing but I think those who do not support the trust could bring some positive ideas.
I went to meeting in Portsmouth and what there Trust has been through and achieved is amazing. Although very different to our problems they did go similar hassles.
Am just a normal supporter who found myself in a position where I could not just sit back and do nothing.

I'm a member of the trust, but in all honesty I don't take it seriously, at the moment, when the numbers are so small and it's the odd 'meet in the squirrel' shenanigans. No disrespect intended, but that's the way it's seen by a fare few people.

The last couple of weeks have began to change my mind and questions are being asked and answered by the Trust. But it's basically an email with a bit of info, 2 hours before the telegraph. Not much else. No doubt this will grow and improve with time and effort. I'd suggest asking for money. I'd donate no questions asked. You should seriously put out a request for £10 off each member and see where that goes.

I'm pleased to see members are growing. PUSB

In a perfect world we would not need something like the trust I would rather be on this site talking about the last/next game who played well/badly etc. I wish we had owners/landlords that cared about our club I wish I'd never heard the words Administration/Liquidation/High Court. I wish that everything in the Sky Blue garden was rosey but its not. I joined the trust I think for the same reason that many have I was frightened and still am about our situation. As I have said I'm just a member no better or worse than any other fan (ok maybe worse) the other people in the trust are better than me. I urge you all to join the trust at least go to a meeting and you will see that the members are just like you concerned for the future of our club.

I don't buy this, the consistent response I've seen from trust members has been "join the trust and help shape it if you disagree". The only criticism I've seen offered is most certainly not constructive. Instead taking cheap shots to enable the poster to feel superior without having to take any action.

This isn't aimed at anyone in particular, just what I've witnessed overall.

At the end of the day, we're all city fans and that's the only real requirement of trust membership. The more that join the more accurately it'll represent the fans and the more likely it will be to achieve something meaningful. Worst case scenario, you lose a quid, best case you save the club. Seems like a decent bet to me.
