The Sky Blue Trust welcomes Joy Seppala's statement this morning that she is willing to talk about the future of the Ricoh with Cllr Ann Lucas. We have been campaigning for several months now for these talks to take place. It's time that a solution resulting in OUR football club returning to the Ricoh is reached.
Council leader Ann Lucas last week stated she was willing to do this and talked about a potential return by Christmas. Ms Seppala now says she is willing too.
We therefore now urge both sides to put aside any personal feelings and resentment and agree to talk without any pre-conditions at the very earliest opportunity. Nothing should be ruled in or out.
It has been abundantly clear for some time that supporters of Coventry City FC are tired and dismayed at the intransigence that has been shown by both sides in this saga. We therefore call on them to waste no further time on posturing and personal attacks and to devote every ounce of energy possible to getting OUR football club back where it belongs.

Sell the "Freehold" at your peril CCC. It will be the worst day in CCFC history if you do!

Getting a bit confused here, sisu are not going to just leave this club the way things stand at the minute because theres not really anything to sell.It seems to me some fans dont want sisu to buy the arena giving them a saleable asset but the way i see it is that with them buying isnt that the only way we are going to get rid.At the end of the day they are not going to just walk away from this after putting in 60 mil are they.

SISU have not put in 60m. If they had they will have lost nearly a million a month. And at the worst they were losing half that. And the debts that the club had were written down when they took over.

Why do you think they do? There is nothing in that statement that either says or implies that, it's saying 'for heaven's sake start talking'.

It's the state they'll leave the club in that worries most.

Not really, the impact on CCFC will probably be minimal.

The worst day in CCFC history took place some 13 years previously when the freehold to Highfield Road was sold to a 3rd party.

How the fuck have they put in 60 million? where was it spent.
it is merely the debt they took on and until last season told us we were one of the only clubs not in debt(as was reported in the telegraph) .

Sorry but some people are really gullible wake up and smell the roses as the shit is getting stronger.

As other have stated, the suggestion that SISU have put in £60 million is just absolute bull. What so many on this forum fail to see, is that if SISU get the Freehold of the RICOH, CCFC will be screwed because they will drop the football club like a brick. I have to accept that tactically to get rid of these ' insert your own taboo noun)' it may be that they have to be given some slack.
A world without SISU is a dream, SISU owning the RICOH Freehold is a feckin nightmare. Allow them to buy into ACL at the right price is as far as I would go.
I also believe that SISU are now posturing as they are in the shit. They will never in my mind build a new stadium. Stay firm CCC you made some bad calls when you got into the Arena fiasco, don't make any more.
