This current era is really bad, but just stand back and look at our history properly.
Our golden era was the 60's when we charged all the way to the top flight.
What followed was a huge achievement to stay up for 34 years, but 95% of those seasons we were either lucky or had a huge battle to stay up. Some people seem to be looking back at 1987 as if that had been what we had been achieving for years.
Sillet, Curtis and a hard working group of players over delivered.
In the 34 years in the top flight it was only about 9 seasons when it went to the last day.<br />

I know we never did particularly well but its a myth that we were always fighting relegation, more often than not we were lower mid table.
I remember that. I was looking forward to Europe! <img src="http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif" border="0" alt="" title="" smilieid="3" class="inlineimg" />

It was 1st Prem season. The reason we dropped from 5th to 15th was because we sold Rosario, who was incredible - Rosie is our Leader! Another reason was that Gould was so dismayed at the selling of our most influential player for £400,000 to Forest in the league below. What might have been eh?
