My take is that Wasps are seeking to distress SISU (by distressing their asset, CCFC) in an attempt to win a war of attrition with them. It does seem SISU were willing to sign something that would prevent them taking further litigation bit Wasps also (unreasonably in my view) wanted any effects of a successful EC investigation underwritten by SISU. Wasps would have known this was a deal breaker and so i think they are clearly happy to see CCFC play elsewhere in the hopes it damages SISU more than themselves.

Hedge fund wanting to distress hedge fund who are looking to distress headge fund or the council.

None of it points to a positive future for our club

Agreed. But at the risk of sounding like a 10 year old, they started it and it’s now hanging over this mess for years

Does that agreement mean they can’t take civil action against CCC after the European case ends ?

Why does it matter if they take civil action against ccc?

Agreed, we are stuck in the middle. On a more positive note, it does seem we are being backed this season in the transfer market for whatever reason, long may that continue!

If SISU own the business being distressed then surely its an attack ultimately aimed at them though?

Id have thought any agreement would have been purely aimed at stopping litigation against Wasps, relating to ownership of the stadium. I cant see SISU being willing to sign anything extending to civil action vs the Council.

Not really because it won't damage sisu.

It's effectively having an issue with somebody and beating the shit out of their kid that people say they don't care about anyway.

It was all legal action regarding to the sale of the Ricoh I think. I doubt it stands now anyway.

Boddy was confirming that to people at the kit launch. Wasps expect CCFC to cover any fine Wasps or the council receive.

I'm not convinced it doesn't hurt SISU as its ultimately an asset of theirs and any losses that SISU fund have to come from SISU funding. Equally though im not at all sure it will work as a tactic for Wasps and it is us that suffer in the meantime.

Christ, even more unreasonable if the indemnity was supposed to extend to a third party to the rental deal. It looks to me to be a war of attrition, hopefully one that CCFC can survive.

Not sure you can make that case when you see our signings this summer.

We don’t seem very distressed.

You’re still to explain to me how anyone can force Sisu to sell. Or in fact who forced them to go on a rent strike with no plan B.

Honestly, isn’t it easier to believe Joy miscalculated the rent strike move due to not being used to dealing with governments bodies and since then it’s just been bitterness and incompetence all the way down?

Going forward, Wasps would be silly to refuse us playing there but have backed themselves into a corner just like Sisu did in Northampton. Hopefully just like that we just need some time for people to save face.

Surely should be asking ACL who tried to force a change of ownership previously how anybody can force it?
