Anyone know what's happening to the seating at the Ricoh? Is it being replaced, or left in case we return next season?

It's being left because London Wasps couldn't afford to replace it.

If they change the seats to yellow and black would u still like to see us go back playing at the Ricoh or would that be the final nail in the coffin? The point of no return no longer our home?

They can’t afford to pay some of the staff let one change the seats. Let them do as they like they will be fooked before long and will only have to unbolt them when they move away next year.
Happy days.

Keep the faith I always love alway games and it adds a bit of spice to the game!
My daughter doesn’t know yet she is going she will be speechless! The coach the train or whatever it all adds to the day out!
We always play better away from home and it’s a decent pitch!

its a great attitude and almost the same as mine. My concern is we can get away with this when we are lower league, but home advantage is a key factor in majority of leagues, especially the higher ones and having aspirations of competing in the championship, if we aren't playing at "home" there, we are at a disadvantage.

32,000 seats, more like 2-3 million. Shame McGinnity is no longer with us, his company would know

If we go up Wasps would be begging for ya back. At least that’s what I’m banking on. And another promotion on top of that and we’ll buy the Ricoh.

Why would wasps beg for us to come back knowing their whole house could come crumbling down if ccc lose a court case that our owners have begun ?

What they stand to gain in rent / f&b is a drop in the ocean compared to what they stand to lose if the court case goes south.

As already shown , isnt their priority is to end all litigation ?

And can you please explain to me how that is any different whether we are at St Andrews or at the Ricoh paying them?

Because the complaint cannot be stopped and in the mean time they're missing out on much needed income.
Begging us to come back probably isn't the best turn of phrase, perhaps coming to an agreement would be better..

Think you will find that although McGinnity wanted the contract, his company PEL didn't get it in the end. He lost out to a cheaper quote and threw his dummy out of the pram about it

Do wasps need to replace all the seats or do they simply need to move seats around so it doesnt say Sky Blues or CCFC?

Sorry, was working.

I assume in their minds the longer we are away the more chance sisu will consider stopping litigation, I know they can’t stop this one, but civil action hasn’t begun yet either.

So...just to summarise: You don't think Wasps would want us back in a season, despite them losing money, because they won't want us back until we've stopped litigation. You acknowledge now though that actually we have no control over the EC complaint. Now you're saying Wasps wouldn't have us back until SISU stop litigation that they haven't even started yet?

Right

So based on the OP, if this DID happen hypothetically how would this change peoples perception around this being ‘home’ as opposed to St Andrew’s. Clearly we know SA isn’t home but would this be the final nail for the Ricoh or would people still go? I know it’s cosmetic change but it’s about identity surely?

Let’s hope I’m wrong and your right and we are kicking off at the Ricoh asap. Never said they had control over the complaint, but surely it was them that lodged it ?

The litigation in the form of the EC complaint cannot be stopped and they it's been acknowledged that they signed an agreement to end litigation against London wasps.

My take is that Wasps are seeking to distress SISU (by distressing their asset, CCFC) in an attempt to win a war of attrition with them. It does seem SISU were willing to sign something that would prevent them taking further litigation bit Wasps also (unreasonably in my view) wanted any effects of a successful EC investigation underwritten by SISU. Wasps would have known this was a deal breaker and so i think they are clearly happy to see CCFC play elsewhere in the hopes it damages SISU more than themselves.

Agreed. But at the risk of sounding like a 10 year old, they started it and it’s now hanging over this mess for years

Does that agreement mean they can’t take civil action against CCC after the European case ends ?
