While in Coventry today I noticed that almost all the Ribbons have been removed over the last 48 hours (overnight)?

Anyone know why and by who?

I'm guessing the CCC, especially if the ribbons have been removed all around the city. Maybe SISU plants in the Council!?

Not going to lie, they were an eye-sore.

So (and I assume it was CCC) if CCC have taken down all these ribbons what does this say in support of the fans message of "Keep Coventry in Coventry"

There were still a few on Sky Blue Way yesterday, although a lot had either degraded away or faded and just looked like bits of plastic bag.

They've were all gone from Ryton on Monday morning. Guess that was either done by Warwickshire CC or Ryton residents.

They were an eyesore, especially the ones in the trees.

Well, I liked what it stood for... Just in some areas there were too many and made the place look messy... A lot more satisfying walking/driving past somewhere and seeing a few, looked better.

Got one on mine. Starting to look a bit battered though now after a few motorway journeys.

Shame but theyappeared to be made out of cut up plastic bags. Think of the Badgers ppl . Potentially they were a danger to Badgers

Saves them being shot.

I think they looked ok but after time they weathered a bit and looked not as nice, when done sparsely they looked better.

I can't think of many other ways that aren't permanent and then get people in trouble

They weren't so hot around Ryton, have to say.

Less is more, think of the aesthetics!

Can we claim the big one in the middle of the A444 roundabout as ours?

I'd rather see big ones on landmarks long term, don't mind the offices or training ground getting to odd smattering of bin bags though.

No doubt the Coventry council tax payers will pick up the bill for the removal of these ribbons.
