They tried it at Cardiff, but it didn't go down too well. I really don't think they would isolate the fans as we are not known for having loads of fans all over the place. Identity is one of our saleable assets, i would compromise and go with a yellow and black away kit, I would like to remain Sky Blues.
However, I would take British Racing Green and be Coventry Jags FC

The reason it didn't work at Cardiff(Colour change) is Cardiff fans have got bollocks, and stood up to the "Tan regime" Coventry fans could learn a lot from what Cardiff fans did.

Wasps owners = SISU
Both are hedge fund bastards, we don't need hedge funds involved in the club in any form, have SISU not shown that. Now some of you would sell our soul to be owned by another hedge fund. FFS

At the moment it's shit with no sign of it getting better.
Another hedge fund take over, it will either stay shit or get better.
However this particular hedge fund have the Ricoh.
So out of the two shit options they are the least shittest

You're wrong Rupert. We were Royal Blue and White thick stripes, and were known as the Bantams. JH changes were minimal(Dark to Sky Blue) and never caused any uproar at that time, and was an innovation for the City of Coventry.
*Edit* Coventry wore Sky Blue at least 1 year before Man City ever did. So we should have "Bragging rights" to the "Sky Blues" name. We've never worn "Quarters" and White with blue trim was for 2 years.

My dear I am not wrong. Look at the examples put on here by stupot and you will see quiet clearly the kit before the sky blue was introduced was all white with navy trim, neck and cuffs, that had been the case for Three years with a little change in year two.

We're talking about different things. A takeover by Wasps (which will not happen) is one thing; the complete rebranding and a name change as discussed here is another - all that would do is result in a breakaway phoenix club and it would get very messy and potentially makes things worse. Neither of these hypothetical situations has any chance of playing out for real so a pointless discussion really.

There will only be a name change if ccfc fold, wrapped up, liquidated call it what you will, if that happens the name dies, a new club can be formed with some amendment to the name as Bournemouth did some years back. I don't know how different a name must be AFC Coventry City ? Coventry City 2016/17/18 a delema.

100% Sisu and stay as sky blues

1) sisu aren't going to be around forever
2) changing to yellow and black is huge step in refranchising, it wouldn't be long until our nickname would become wasps
3) sky blue is part of our tradition, brought in by Jimmy hill, we're called tje sky blues our club song is "play up sky blues"
4) getting taken over by wasps doesn't necessarily mean good times will roll. Rugby is their no. 1 priority and you can achieve a lot for significantly cheaper than football. Even wasos biggest fan Italia thinks they would just run us break even in league one if they took us over.
5) , yes things are shit now, but poor feel sorry for us. If we get bought by wasos and they change our kit completely to move in line with theirs, we'd become the laughing stock of football
6) tradition and identity is hugely important

I'd just about stomach it if wasps took over, but if they changed the kit and/or name, thats me done.

Thing is, if SISU stewardship of our club staggers on for too much longer, we will
Lose all the things you're desperate too keep. The colour we play in, the songs we
Sing, the nickname, all the dreams and hopes we share will be bundled up along-
With the good name of the football club and buried once and for all.

Because if they stay and continue with their current train of thinking the club will
Continue to shrink and at some point will disappear.
Don't worry Nick my Prozac should kick in soon, I always double the dose on
Match days.

You'd have to be pretty stupid to want another hedge fund to take us over, especially one that had already moved one club 100 miles.

Do yourself a favour mate and fucking read the link I've posted... You the shining example of a "They can shit on me and my family but I'll still give them my hard earned money" You're the epitomy of boring pal.
*Edit*... I may be boring, but I speak the truth...... It worked at Cardiff... Did it? or didn't it? A simple yes or no will suffice.

Says the bloke who sits on his arse making up live streams, pretending to be an expert and claiming to be some sort of nopm martyr. Have a word.

I support the team I have since birth, deal with it.

Wank off about nopm all you like, the day sisu go you will find another excuse no doubt.

Who are you calling a prick now? I was talking about your stupid comment about Cardiff city fans having big bollocks. Go and support them then, maybe they will setup some imaginary live feeds for you. Maybe you could be their match reporter, they will give you 3 minutes of commentary and you can sum up every game and be the expert.

It's embarrassing really.
