On five live they were previewing the Manchester Derby and announced they had two prolific goal scoring legends on to discuss. On the red side was Andy Cole and on the blue side was - well - someone who has a Sky blue history with us and well...

Heard a bit of it. Cov mentioned briefly in the context of what can happen to relegated teams. Goater got a funny American sounding accent and Cole as thick as pig shit.

I thought Goater sounded strange too....a mix of English, American and Caribbeab accents.....makes sense though as he's Bermudan originally.

I know he is, for some reason I'd expected him to sound more Jamaican but then again I have never met anybody from Bermuda.

Goater is the second player we've had from there, who was the other?

Ian Brightwell? Although I don't think he ever played a game for us.

Laser pen Lightbourne, haha.

Was great for Stoke City in D1, looked like a partly tranquilized Bambi in sky blue.

I saw Ian Brightwell play for us in a pre-season friendly at Reading. He played CD in the first half and CM in the second. I thought he looked OK, but vaguely recall he suffered from fitness issues?

His partnership with Haworth was superb. Proper dynamic duo. Btw remember the 20 stone policeman, Dwayne Leverock that played in the Cricket World Cup where he took the wickets of Yuraj Singh and Kumar Sangakkara? Lightbourne was his coach. Played for them too as well as their football team.
