Please don't give credit to SISU in any way for sacking SP.
The rot is from the core of the club and that is firmly in ownership.

SP never really had much of a chance did he? Lately there were glimmers of a steadying of the ship if not in wins but as many pointed out that seemed too late when there are fingers on the panic button.

I fully accept changing managers like a revolving door never really works. Here though we have a manager who was given to the task of development and to a large degree that is in place and working.

I think ultimately the results he has not got where perhaps were expected even under these testing and developing times were still not good enough.

We now need someone who has authority and can get this club by the scruff of the neck and pull it up by it's shirt tails.

That needs a strong personality and someone who immediately garners respect and knows the football league.

For the moment that profile fits NEIL WARNOCK or similar qualified available manager.

Writing was on the door for SP when he mention 50% cut in wages.
He will have to keep his gob shut now for his pay off.

Waggot said it was 50% reduction in wages.
Pressley only stayed because of sisu - any other owner would have booted him months ago.

Yup in footballing terms, bar Boothroyd SISU have been loyal to their managers, maybe over-loyal.

Still think SP would have benefitted a year or two alongside an old head, like Warnock or similar.

Some of SP's tactical decisions (such as his subs on Saturday) showed a lack of guile and game-craft.

SP had some good characteristics, just needed some experience alongside him.

May have been cheaper to bring in a Co-Manager rather than an asst.

Suffice to say, SP couldn't be allowed to continue as he was - a change of sorts was needed.
