Having spent 45m already, with nothing to show. What are SISU's options

Sell up - No chance, best offer so far is Hoffman's quid

Continue to invest - Unlikely as this will only increase their losses.

Walk away - Possible, but they would want something back for their investment

Leave Ricoh - Possible, but further costs involved in building a new ground, then further investment whilst this is being built. At the end of it all we could still be in Lge 1 with SISU investment close to 100m. So rule out this option too.

ACL/Council possibly have spoken to potential new investors and may be willing to sell ground etc if it means the end of SISU. In order for this to work there would have to be give and take on all sides.
First of all ACL would have to write of rent debt so that SISU and new owners are not liable.
Secondly, SISU would have to hand over the club to new owners for nothing.
Thirdly, a deal would have to be brokered, where SISU get part of their investment back say 10% ie 4.5m. New owners would have to agree to pay this over say 5 years.

Solution is SISU get 10% back
Club gets ground etc
ACL/Council are rid of SISU
The big questions are will the council/acl be sensible with the sale price in order to make this work, and is their a group of investors with the money to buy the stadium.

Forgot to add that obviously admin/liquidation are 2 options but trying to come up with idea's that do not include these.

Or SISU could be gifted the Ricoh, and they could be then free to achieve their goal of running the club purely for the benefit of the good folk of Coventry

Perfect dream scenario and not gonna happen!! In my opinion winding up and investors buying the shell left and negotiating on friendly terms with acl CCC and Alan Higgs. When I spoke to friend involved I was confused at them referring to admin as I can't see how sisu would do this and winding up would mean playing in conference. Terrible situation for all concerned but mostly for fans who don't deserve this. All true that if 10000 more turned up the situation would be very different!!

Was the £1 a bad offer. How much worse off are sisu now, for not accepting the original £1 offer. May be £10m which they will never get back

That pound has well and truly gone. We've been downgraded to a Fredo.

I can't see admin or liquidation. The only outside debt that we are aware of is the rent and thats not enough to warrant that sort of action.
However they could just sell up take a hit on some of the debt.

When sisu first took over there was an extra 10000.

Brilliant business by them to half the numbers of customers.

question for OSB if he is about

Is it at all possible that SISU are making money elsewhere in the world and as they are losing on CCFC, they are using it as some sort of tax "get around" and actually they are not as botrhered by the losses as we think they might be ?

Good point, but they must be making a shed load elsewhere to withstand a 45m loss.

I think you may be mistaken, the fund is not that large.

It is possible ccfcway, but doubt there is any way we can find out one way or another. I am sure they are working some angle but god knows what it is !

could be sisus investors doing a tax trick. there are at least 20 of them so that £45m is soon divided up

Coundon, Sisu (much as I dislike them) didn't tell 10,000 fans to go away. Those fans deserted the club. There is no other word for it. They weren't loyal. I wish they were. But it proved otherwise. I'm just fed up hearing excuses from City 'fans.' The real cost for local fans to watch their club is not beyond most people. You're talking pennies saved a day for a season ticket. The club even let you pay monthly. All these excuses. Taking care of their granny, walking the dog, more to life etc. Fans should support through everything, it creates a decent club. About time supporters stopped blaming everyone else and looked at themselves. Sky Blue Pete is spot on.

What other business would blame the customers for not buying a shoddy product?

Bit unfair to us stay-aways. I've supported the club since the 60's but have just had enough. No other club has such a miserable recent records. Enough is enough.

Yeah its a little unfair to criticise everyone who chooses not to go up regular, you honestly tell me you've enjoyed most of the last 10years?

If it was down to the product alone, last season would have finished me off, if any of the previous 10 hadn't.

SISU is just the tip of the iceberg, you don't think the seriously wealthy people backing them use only one vehicle for investment.

Coundon, Bill, Monkey face, City aren't a product. It is a football team. Don't you feel an emotional bond with the team? They aren't the cinema, theatre, rock concert. It is 11 players trying to stop the other 11 from doing their job. If you see it as a product you're always going to be disappointed. Monkey, yeah I love going to the City. Since 1959. Sure I get disappointed when things go badly, but I figure if enough of us stay loyal and behind them and in sufficient numbers, the tide will turn.
Tell me which football figure said 'if you want entertainment go to the circus.' Was it Shankley? I don't agree with that entirely, but go along with it to a degree.
Nothing personal lads. Big fans, big team. Up to you fans.

Of course I feel an emotional bond, so do the missing fans. Does it not hurt you when we lose? There is only so long that you can put up with that kind of abuse before you become numb to it. Once that happens the passion is lost, the losses don't hurt so much, but the wins don't feel as good either. I still go to all the home games, but its not the same as when I was a kid and I went to games believing we could beat anyone. CCFC destroyed my optimisim in football a long time ago. To be honest I go to games now more to see my mates.

If any other fans had to put up with what we have then their fans would become apathetic as well. We as fans are not special or unique, we are the same as fans of all clubs, yet we have had to put up with far more crap than any of them.

Yes of course I love the old club too but I'm just tired of the endless crises. Any slight upturn is always followed by disappointment. I loved the away day at MK and it really did feel like a new dawn, but that looks like a dream now. Wake me up when we're a normal club and I'll be back!
