Interesting from Mutton's quote on the 3 options SISU presented to the council...

Mutton said this todat:

"SISU are miles away from it yet, because we haven't seen any form of business case.

"We've only seen three options - get rid of everything, get rid of half the players and backroom staff, or get rid of nothing. It's not just about cutting wages. They've got to increase income."

It's pretty clear this season it's option 2 for sisu. Halving the squad size and staff exits is all I have seen this pre-season.

You want to try working in Local Government, the opposite of your opinion is very much the reality! I've never worked somewhere as short-staffed as we are now. Anybody knows that local authorities have been cutting swathes of jobs in the last 18 months. It's been a right-wing ideological in this country to dismantle local government for years, and Cameron is getting away with things that Herr Thatcher could only dream of.

It's very easy to spout a few tired cliché's but in reality the majority of council workers do a very difficult job under extremely trying circumstances providing crucial services that are more important than ever during times of economic and social turmoil.

Too much red tape is the problem. It's so hard for anyone to try and do anything in this country. Wouldn't need so much staff there if things were streamlined.

Local Government ? It is where managers, have managers who have managers and at times like this it's the poorest that pay.

Funny thing is, I had to phone them up the other day and this is exactly what happened. For some reason they then put me through to Birmingham City Council?! I even said before hand I live in Coventry. For crying out loud, how dumb can the council be.

And the reality will always be that Turkey's don't vote for Christmas, so whilst Central Government dishes out the cuts, the frontline services-the staff that really make a difference-are the one's who get "streamlined".

On that kind of topic, make sure you vote for Bob Jones in November for the police commissioner. If not, we'll probably end up with an Indian call centre next time we need the old bill.

With CCFC, the turkeys roll around in gravy then dive straight into the oven before Thorn has a chance to catch them.

I think that was the very point he was making - only more succinctly.

The councils are ham-strung by the unions. They have people paid for by the council tax payers, who work full time for the unions. Madness.
