Didn't the council want the stadium just as much as the club? They had ulterior motives I think.

Either way, no bale out=no ground=no football league club. Blame Richardson if you like, but if SISU had a problem with this they should have resolved it when they bought the club. But I forgot, the wonderful Mr Ranson said that the rent wouldn't be an issue as SISU would buy the ground within 2 years, didn't he? If that was their plan to get out of the rent and secure matchday revenues, the current situation is a consequence of not following through on it.

Again, the situation we are in is an unsustainable football club. Are they all? Probably yes. Have sisu put in a vast amount of money? Yes. Does anyone know why? No. Do acl CCC Higgs trust the current owners enough to help them sufficiently? No. Would they trust other parties? Probably yes. No end of us supporters arguing will change the fundamentals.

I don't personally think there is a future successful club with sisu as owners. Don't get me wrong they are no worse than many football owners.

I don't personally think any owners could entertain the rent figures and lack of access to revenue streams so acl need to work out now, not many years ago, but now what their business model can sustain with the lowest possible rent and highest release of revenues and if sisu won't accept they have no choice but to push for their money, probably at the end of the season.

Unfortunately this is likely to mean a 10 point deduction for next season and new owners likely in lg 1 but I fear maybe down the pyramid.

People were warning of impending doom and as nothing has really changed in the years since moving to Ricoh in the footballing world we are once again on a precipice

All of the bickering needs to end its getting beyond a joke now. This is what happens when the fans are not informed or involved with what is going on at a club. How can the Council and Sisu call themselves professional people.

Because the council have stated they will never sell to SISU, same as they wouldn't sell to Manhatten group and it looks like they wont sell to anyone who isn't prepared to waste 30-40m trying to regenerate the area around the Ricoh. :facepalm:

if SISU want the food revenue why not offer to buy it back at market value ? that way we ill see they have a long term intrest in the club and it will help balance the clubs books apparantly, got to be alot cheaper than building a new stadium:facepalm::facepalm:

Because they would'nt fund the building of the stadium you get enterprise to do it just like Tesco put 60m into the Ricoh project but that won't happen either and it will be either we play at the Ricoh as CCFC (in some guise) or we go pop and are gone forever.

Neither side can live without each other
Neither side can afford CCFC to fail
All sides SISU /Council/ACL are full of self importance , self promoting buffoons

I have stopped taking notice of such press releases, as they are all part of the above game, which will have to be sorted soon for season tickets sake

I think the problem on here for many and their hatred of Sisu is down to Sisu's previous misdemeanors. Trouble is, we are living in the here and now.

On the Ricoh issue you have to say that CCFC are right.

1. The rent is too high.
2. They should be receiving the revenue from the food and beverages
3. The club should be in the same ballpark as the majority of clubs the length and breadth of the country in terms of the rent they pay.

I do think you can have a distrust and dislike for Sisu but be in agreement with them on the above.

What the SISU sycophants seem to have missed is it's the Mayfair hedge fund who are threatening to liquidate our club...TF: "we'll file pronto"...how's that for caring about the club and the fans...they really give a shit about us don't they? The rent and F&B issues are a smoke screen as far as I'm concerned and a drop in the ocean in relation to the huge losses they're incurring but they're threatening to blow us off the face of the earth over the equivalent of David Bell's annual salary?? They're playing with the very existence of our club and yet they get pats on the back from some for doing it. As for those who keep saying I'd rather have SISU than no club at all... There is now an ever increasing chance that we'll have no club at all WITH SISU...The saying turkey's voting for Christmas springs to mind.

I just feel from the moment ACL started giving concessions and compromises and got nothing back in return their was only ever going to be one outcome. ACL at some point were going to say right that's it.

I just find it amazing that Tim does not realise the negative impact and knock on effects of transfer embargo's and putting out national press realises that lead people to believe Coventry do not have a penny.
