What a bullshit argument, surely ACL can still discuss an agreement with SISU. Surely part of any discussion would include both sides demands. Sometimes I do wonder if some people want us to come home. I think SBT will die a death when this is all sorted.

Off course. I assume you hope they get the full amount so no remnants of barrier is left and we don't find ourselves in another ridiculous situation as fans where we have to make demands on anyone when all we should be doing is concentrating on on-field events like normal football fans.

If a fiver and a dry hand job aren't enough for ACL to open the door for negotiations on a return you don't give a shit? Interesting. How's that going to help the club come home?

I'm assuming you do want the club to come home?

Unlike you I don't care about the size of ACL's bank balance, so if the football league decide its £59 or £590000 I couldn't give a toss. If ACL don't start discussions after the decided amount has been paid then they're bigger c**ts than I thought they were.

Surely the best thing would be both sides compromising, there is no reason why they can't discuss things is there but then not sign on the dotted line until conditions have been met?

Why can't that be a part of the discussions, I expect both sides will have certain demands.

I don't care either about ACL's bank account. But I also don't want barriers in a return to the Ricoh and the only way to ensure that this barrier is down is for ACL to get paid in full. It's that simple.

Easiest way to stop them taking you to court.

Seems to be cutting off your nose to spite your face to not talk to someone and potentially avoid resolution.

I can put myself in ACL's shoes, would I do a deal with someone who is sueing me and whose intention is to bankrupt me? no I would not, so it would be completely unreasonable of me to demand that from ACL.

Were SISU still taking them to court when they tendered that offer through the FL back In November or had they been knocked back at that point ?

So if ACL said they would need 10 billion dollars as the barriers wouldn't come down?

I agree courst cases should be dropped and money owed should be paid, but no reason they can't all stop being dicks and at least meet and talk about it and have conditions and terms before things can progress rather than both hiding behind waiting for the FL to make up their mind.

I am not saying anything should be signed, but they can at least talk about it and then both discuss the things that need to happen before the wheels start turning.

It will be interesting to the see the reaction if the FL decide on a figure less than the 590K, and ACL then continue to refuse to discuss a return to the Ricoh.

I get what you're saying. If it's decided that they should be paid in full then so be it. On the same token if it's decided that they shouldn't receive the full amount then this should not prevent talks. We could carry on like this forever, there is always going to be barriers unless they get round a table and discuss it all like adults.

It's all rather tedious isn't it.

They all talk to everyone but one another!

Have ACL said that? No, so stop being stupid. Who came to the £590k figure? Not ACL. Were ACL demanding any amount of money before the FL came to the figure that they did?

They should be able to meet and get things agreed but that clearly wasn't going to happen while the FL are burying their heads in the sand. Hence the we have a proposal ready statement from JS & TF and then just TF. There's no way that statement would have been made if ACL said that the doors open regardless. Hence Joys name came of it as it gives them the opportunity for handshake gate the replay.

So why can't they meet and talk while they wait for the FL? I am sure if the FL say that £1 or £590k is owed and paid then that side of it is sorted so it is just the court cases to be dropped.

There is nothing stopping them meeting and talking. If ACL had said "Let's meet and discuss, these are going to be the stumbling blocks going forward that would need to be resolved before going anywhere but we can at least talk about it" then it would have really called bluffs wouldn't it?

At the minute both sides are just hiding behind the FL, who are themselves hiding away.

SISU sending their offer to ACL should be a start and then we can put pressure on ACL.

Just email it to them, simples

I don't think it is likely, however much you would like it to happen, after all why would you reveal your cards when the whole situation could change radically?

Which is why I was saying weeks ago that we should all as individuals, protest groups and supporter's trusts be putting as much pressure as possible on the FL to get this issue sorted sooner rather than 2 days before the new season kicked off.

That suggestion fell largely on death ears or defeated without trying types deciding it wouldn't work without even trying.

I gave up today. I sent an email to the FL this morning as I have every day for the last few weeks. It will be my last.

because of the 2 issues acl wanted sorted before talking the JR is clearly the most important one, the plan with the jr is to destroy them, why on earth would they enter negotiations with sisu under that cloud?

It is ironic that it was Appleton that come to this £590k figure, and if the FL decide that £590k isn't due, it will support ACL's original argument that the CVA was flawed and Appleton didn't investigate the situation properly.

Had the guarantours paid then? Surely that is what the issue is?

Out of interest, have ACL acknowledged the Robinson and McGinnity payments yet?

The agreement with the guarantors had been in place since circa 2005. Appleton should have gone through all of CCFC's documents with a fine tooth comb, after which, almost certainly he would have found evidence of the agreement.

Serious question. How are the guarantors connected to Otium or whatever Otium recieved in return for the payment that the FL ssaid they had to make?

Isn't that what the fl are meant to be deciding? If they aren't deemed related then full amount paid?

They can still start talking, then if the FL say £1 or £590k it should be paid. The hold up is the FL and 2 sides being dicks hiding behind the FL.

Why does anyone care what ACL are paid? They are nothing to do with the club.

The sooner SISU/ACL/CCC are gone the better. The affection so many have for ACL is fucking daft.

If the FL derived the £590,000 from the administration process...
Absolutely nothing! The administration process can only deal with assets and liabilities within its control: the guarantor undertaking is with ACL and is therefore not relevant to the amount the administrator decided was owed to ACL nor to the percentage of the debt that the administrator decided could be paid out.
ACL are entitled to recover the balance of the debt up to the guarantee amount.

If the FL didn't derive the £590,000 from the administration process... Absolutely nothing!
