This is the situation that Hoffman and the media are starting to portray,

Sisu bought into the Sky Blues in my eyes not knowing what the hell they were getting into, and have had to cope with a set of the most demanding fans in England, Are our demands justified? Not really. We hit an average of around 16k home each game, we have a good hardcore away following but all we seem to do is slag Sisu off and then demand they get their wallets out, when they do (a small 5 million a few months back) springs to mind they still get slated.

They are in a complete lose/lose situation and as much as I want a change in ownership If I was in there shoes I would be telling Hoffman to P!ss right off.

Hoffman promises to invest 10mill in the team, get the fans on side and then we do the dirty work of trying to bully SISU out the club, then we kick off when they want to recover all the losses they have pumped in!

As the title suggests this whole thing is turning into a pantomine and should have been kept behind closed doors, but Hoffers discloses info which he probably shoudnt of to the media, and now we have the Telegraph on the case. I can see SISU out posters being printed for the centre pages tomorrow as we speak,

Im not Pro SISU, anything but. I think people need to realise though the hate campaign isnt going to help as its obvious they dont really give a toss about Cov,

I also realise im not going to be Mr Popular for this post.

Of course, noted it in another thread.

Still, Hoffman could be credible and better for the club.

No you are correct. It's a little farcical for sure but then all business deals reach a bit of a farce at some point as one side tries in vain to outdo the other to their own best interest. In fairness to SISU Hoffman has not tabled a serious bid through proper means - yet. The ball is not in SISU's court as Hoffman would like to think.

Possibly, but we dont know who his investors are, could be another hedgefund and Hoffers is the new Ranson,

Its all about transparency, giving out snippets of info to the hardcore who have been screwed over tons of times doesnt cut the mustard anymore,

I think there is alot of posturing going on. Despite what the press are saying SISU are never going to write off their 20- 30 million investment. Althought the club is worthless on paper, with a little tweaking and well spent investment it would soon become profitable. And of course the prospect of the premiership paypacket makes the club and risk worth taking. SIS are in pole position, they don't have to sell. Its up to Hoffman and Co to make them an offer they are tempted by.

If they got into this with their eyes closed as you suggest in this post then we are further up the swanny than we all thought!! Rightly or wrongly SISU will get slagged off if they say one thing and do another as will Hoffman and his faceless business parteners if their promises of investment doesnt happen if they win control. I agree with you as far as the hate campaign goes it will probably make SISU take a seige mentality, then they will probably get more money back by going into administration than the pound thats on offer now. I also think you right about it being kept behind closed doors, both parties need to meet across a table and thrash out a deal instead of trowing shit about through the media as this will reflect badly on the club. Keep the faith SBG.

Apparently 'the Hoff' is the saviour by default, despite all us having is some kind of promise of good times ahead. It's not as if we were promised good times before, after all.

SISU=evil private equity fund with no idea about football and the worst spin I've ever been asked to swallow. All they will do is strip the carcass bare now.

Hoff=well connected banker with proven track record who supports the club, understands football and the UK, and offers a way out of relegation. No contest really.

Seriously, mate, which one are you-Brody, Clouting or Dulieu? They haven't "pumped losses in", they've lost money. End off. It's unfair? Oh, boo hoo-they're bloody venture capitalists, they profit from others misery. Picking up failed companies on the cheap. They exploit the cracks in the system. They care zilch about nothing bar MONEY. Hoffman ACTUALLY SUPPORTS THE CLUB!

Being a fan of the club means little. Peter Ridsdale was a Leeds fan.

The faith in Hoffman is primarily because he's not SISU, he's someone else. Anyone else. We have nothing to suggest he's anything more than talk either. Let's not forget Joe Elliott was telling us how good SISU would be for the club too.

Not to me. All of what Hoffman says stacks up, as did what RR said on his departure. Indeed much of what Hoffman said was things I've alleged on here in the past 2-3 days. It's what I thought anyway, pretty much-and yes, a large element of that is of course defined by being anti-SISU. Of course I back him.

Wheras of course SISU, and this new board, are proven liars. That cannot be disputed. Just for starters, how about voting in favour of a change to league financial regulations-and then breaking them days before the changes are enforced? Bare faced cheek if ever I saw it.

Liar is a strong word.
As for your proof - I think you cannot break a rule that is not yet effective.
Anyway, I thought the rule would become effective at the start of next season, but I can be wrong so don't call me a liar please.

Proven track record where... as a football owner? He cant even get a legitimate offer on headed paper or signed! He is all talk and despite me being totally in favour of SISU being outed by new investment i would feel very sceptical about Hoffman and his mystery men taking over right now.

It isn't on headed paper because it isn't his offer and he doesn't want the backers to be known to SISU. If it was on the correct headed paper then SISU would instantly know who the backers are.

It's not because Hoffman couldn't be arsed to get the headed paper out

So what's the thinking here? Surely not that Hoffman didn't take the bid seriously enough to change the paper in the printer?

SISU are being pedantic IMO. It's their prerogative but it's death by a thousand cuts under them and i'm starting to really detest them.

They came here hoping to make a profit through promotion - then didn't have the balls to see their own gameplan through. I've got zero sympathy for them.

Think GH chanced his arm and to be honest dont blame him for doing so. He has a starting place and feel for the current Board and SISU position. If he is serious then he has to up the offer or walk away...... or heaven forbid wait for administration

Never been a fan of SISU myself but right now they are the ones that are taking us into next season. I agree I dont think they got their game plan right. They have set up either to get out soon (they say they are not looking to sell) or to get to the end of next season hopefully with lower overheads, more income, and better football........ think it is a mixture of them controlling all things financial it is in their power to do so and keeping their fingers and toes crossed for better times............ hardly a high tech business plan

Understand how plenty can hate SISU but its wasted really because they are not here ....... I focus on the team, question the off field stuff and try to get an interpretation of the truth out there. So above all its the team I focus on because I can not affect the other stuff whether I hate or love them..... whether past present or future owners
