Of course, but it then makes you look a bit silly after bragging about starving the club etc.

No one is going to do outright nopm - that is an impossible scenario - Blackburn and Blackpool have had targeted protests and revenue reductions but they haven't budged. Bad publicity makes me laugh as well. Oystens are far more visible than sisu but remain as fixed to the club as ever.

Funnily enough Ian Holloway was interviews about both clubs and he said owners, especially such as the Venkys, will never be impacted - they are distant and removed and will just carry on regardless.

The Venkys chicken business won't be affected by bad publicity regarding Blackburn.
The Oystons are a rare bread who don't get a rats ass bout anything or anyone. They put our owners to absolute shame. Yes I would choose SISU over Oystons any day of the week.
SISU need people to trust them to invest money with them. At the moment a big investment for them is going very badly and they are struggling to turn that around. It is much better for them if Coventry stay out of the lime light.

Yes I agree you would need a majority to do NOMP.
I think we will always have 5-6k who will go to matches and I think SISU would run with that and keep trying for breakeven.
A true NOMP SISU would get rid of the club.

I give the club all the support they need away, which has been more games than home games this season...

Give me one quote where I brag about not attending home games?...

I didn't mention not going to away games.

There was on earlier about your kids understanding they can't have a shirt wasn't there, or was that somebody else?

Err did he ??! Not quite in those words and only so that SISU gave him an easy ride out of the club. The council have been culpable without doubt of contributing to our downfall but only after the most severe provocation.

He was the good one that was going to make it all better?
Bloody hell out of 13-14 managers over the years we finally employed a one good one and he moved on because of Coventry City Council.
I take it he did showed his class after he moved on from at Huddersfield and Scunthorpe ?
Is he available at the moment?
If so I am a bit gobsmacked we don't have him back. The club have no relationship with Coventry City Council now?

I take it point blame solely at the door step if the council.......

Robins admitted that the decision to walk out on the club was the 'toughest' of his career.

“I spoke to the owner, I sought assurances and didn’t get any assurances from the owner of Coventry,” he said as he was unveiled today as the Terrier’s fifth manager in as many years.

“I absolutely wish them all the best, they work their socks off and as I’ve said before that club needs support from Coventry City Council.

“That led to a decision to want to speak with Huddersfield and that’s how the decision has been arrived at.”

He's also jobless and we're mangaerless, problem is he knew who was taking this club down, and it wasn't blamed on fans...

Again you expose a total lack of understanding of football managers.

Most have records that very from club to club. Most, even those that have success, at some point hit a spiral downwards which they do not recover from.

Robins was not hitting that spiral - he would have led the club to a successful conclusion that season. Once he hit the spiral then sack him.

The one manager with league one experience as well - not a coincidence.

Value of principles? You really are a NOPM foot soldier. So those who attend don't have any principles like you do?

No he didn't.

He said the council should support the club......nowhere near the same thing!

He also said he sought assurances from the clubs owners, but didn't get them.

....Besides, Robins only appeared to be a "good manager" to some ccfc fans because the bar has been set so low for so long.....

Nice twist of words there torch. But without opening a can of worms, you keep your own principles to yourself and your own children...

Like it or lump it, NOPM sent SISU scuttling back to the Ricoh. Unless a total NOPM is implemented we will never know if it would work. Give it a go, you never know!

You keep saying this but how?

Surely they didn't just realise 2 games in they were losing money and rush back, when they could have just done it pre-season and have everything in place?

and I am the one with a lack of understanding of football managers.
Managers don't become good or bad over night as you would like to think.
So many external factors influence how a manger gets on, especially how the club is run. It is no surprise that badly run clubs have a very high turnover of scapegoats (sorry managers)
Robins is an ok manager nothing special certainly not rubbish. At Coventry he inherited an alright squad for that division and an absolutely outrageously on fire DMC. Which made Robins an alright manager look very good. He made some ok changes to the squad and just as many bad signings.
His stats since Coventry show he is nothing special.
Pressely looked ok initially because of Callam Wilson and Clarke.
Most ok mangers like Robins will do well if the club is stable. The goal posts don't keep getting moved.
Good management from the top and every level down will allow the manager to get on with their job and breed success

Which ever way you look at it, SISU deciding to come back was never about the fans was it?

When the little money grabber Robins jumped ship, we were 7 points off the play-offs and had played an extra game to all the teams above us.....

...the way some folks like to remember it, you'd think we'd were 7 points clear with a game in hand.

No, I agree. It was because CCC said they would build bridges before talking of Ricoh ownership. SISU believed it despite CCC already having done a deal with those lovely Wasps.

I think when they realised they'd dropped the biggest bollock ever by preempting 7k gates and only getting 1k-1.5k they hadn't budgeted to cover that much loss. That imho is the reason for the return to the Ricoh.

I don't think so, else they wouldn't have publicly mentioned ownership. Weird that they get away with blatantly lying and shafting the football club, isn't it?

I thought(According to Tim Fisher) that boat had long sailed upon departure to Sixfields? Which way would you like to move the goalposts?

That doesn't explain why it happened 2 games into the season, does it?

Awfully good timing too, especially after they would have realised about 3 games in max how much of a loss it would be.

Knowing Sisu how we know them now do we really think if we tried to boycott games en bloc that Sisu being the stubborn wankers they are wouldnt try to hurt the club even more... they are a non caring bunch of butchers and even if they are wrong (which appears to be most of the time) they just try to bully their way through it
