....but credit where credit is due - because, somehow, someone at that club is doing one hell of a job picking recent managers.

First Robins. Now Pressley, who despite all of the off-field shit, is doing one hell of a job. At this rate, we'll be lucky to hang onto him. Bigger clubs will be looking at him and thinking "WTF?!? -10, no money, no resources and he's doing THAT?!? THERE?!?"

We can only hope that Sky Blue Blood truly runs in his veins. No matter what happens now, the guy deserves an award of some sort. Having us in 14th place after -10 and 13 games is unreal.

PUSB.

Still early days, but I hope Sisu keep him happy. I don't get the impression he'll leave at the first whiff of a bigger club to be fair.

Must say wasn't really ecstatic when cov announced Pressley but WOW wat a job he has done so far! Also the players deserve a lot of credit for showing what it is to be proud of the club you play for even if we are not playing at our home ground right now ! We should be very proud of what they have achieved in this crap situation so far! PUSB!!!! CTID!

I fully agree too but I think there is a large slice of luck involved when appointing a new manager. I was never a fan of the 'big name' new manager route that we had taken in the past sometimes. Robins didn't set the world alight at Barnsley and he's doing ok at Huddesfield but it seemed to click for him here. He fell on his feet with McGoldrick but otherwise did a very good job here and got the players believing. But with Pressley he's kept that going, although at the back end of last season when he arguably had a better squad to utilise, it didn't look like that would be the case. But he has obviously spent the summer drilling home his beliefs in how he wants us to play. 9 of the 18 from our squad today have come through our youth system and that is what impresses me the most. But I don't think anyone was expecting Wilson's form to be anything like what it is, that has been a massive bonus.

I thought he was a great appointment at the time and despite some rumblings on here at the end of last season he's shown what a great job he can do. Imagine what he'd be like with money!

It was mental that people were calling for him to be sacked about two minutes after he turned up last season. Even if he ended up crap this season.

No, not really SBK. Apologies if I didn't make myself clear. I didn't mean if SISU gave him any money I just meant in general. He would be a great manager with a budget behind him. Hopefully, we'll find out one day.

@ Torchy....Can you honestly see SISU giving him money to spend on players?

Yes when the owners / investors throw money at a manager they go and buy Eastwood!!
In League 1 you do not need to spend money, just keep your ear to the ground and find the Moussa's - can't believe he was without a Club a year ago. Goal tonight was sublime.
It's not about money its about a good organised team like Yeovil were last season.

Actually we probably had to tempt Clarke to sign last Jan with a very good deal - that was an investment thats paying off.
