Common sense using a PR company.
People should be criticised for not using one. Not criticised for using one.

I think Wasps just said yes they do what they can and did not accept the term 'PR machine'. I don't think they denied doing PR.
They probably rightly just see it as what they should be doing.

I wonder if SISU taking on this PR company is linked to Ched Evans being offered a contract by an 'unknown' League One club.

That was denied by his agent. This is latest. Was on Sky News this morning too. That would certainly require some PR!!

If sisu have hired a PR company as big as Portland then the question has to be why and what is Portlands brief, it certainly isn't us the fans won't make another 5000 turn up for home games will it. Portland deal with many blue chip companies in the main, good PR raises profiles, we, we being sisu that is, need either investors or dare I say a buyer. Portland may come up with little fan related good things but beneath the surface I think if they have been appointed it's for a particular reason.

The thing is, for decent PR it doesn't take a huge agency like this. If they have been working for them for a few months, what exactly have they done?

Who is their PR actually aimed at as I haven't seen anything towards the fans yet?

Are they targeting investors?

"Portland lists social media and reputation management among its services and says it “monitors what influencers are saying about clients” and will “guard against potential threats to our clients’ standing"

Time to turn the lights off Nick

Pretty sure all PR companies would do that

Hopefully if they do it won't be as obvious as others, the money they must charge.
