we have more points than 8 other teams including Hull and Leeds and the same as Middlesboro and Cardiff- ie mid table form
continuing this form for all clubs to the end of the season would see us survive just on 43 points
B city 41
Pompey 40
Doncaster 36
and just behind Millwall 45 and Forest 45
While this does not mean a lot - what it does mean is that the BC/Pompey/Doncaster/Millwall games are our real cup finals
9 points from those would be the minimum requirement - particularly our other fixtures against
Palace/Blues/Peterboro H (4 points would be good)
Watford/Cardiff/Hull/Burnley/Southampton A (2 points would be good)
this would get us to 43 - and we would be relying on other clubs not having an upturn in fortune
