he’s had a tough 2 years on and off the pitch and joins a club with no manager and therefore has no idea whether he will even play !

Best of luck to him. He has always seemed like a great bloke and is well liked in the changing room and judging by some of the comments of people who know he’s clearly had some bad off the field issues. Hopefully it is all sorted and he can get back to enjoying football.

Tbf that’s probably not a bad signing for him considering he hasn’t played for ages. Even if he’s no. 2 for Sunderland it’s better than never playing for us.
