Someone suggested to me earlier that Sims isn't seeing any league game time (including the play offs last season) as another appearance or two may trigger one of the ad ons from his transfer. I'm memory serves his initial fee was suggested to be £3.5m potentially rising to £8m.

Seems plausible but what are peoples thoughts?

No chance. It’s a statement.

if simms can get us up why wouldn’t he play . Simms isn’t here and that’s the plan

We're not not picking a player over add-ons.

If he was considered the best option, he'd play.

I’ve saw this suggestion after the play offs. I don’t think it is, personally.

But for arguments sake, say we have to pay Everton £1m once he reaches 100 appearances. If Simms played for another club right now, would you be happy to pay £1m to sign him? I don’t think we would and I think there’d be a lot of raised eyebrows.

I don’t think it’s that. I just think he’s our 3rd best striker.

Should have done it on goals instead of caps, we'd be sound for years, could basically flog the donkey until he retires.

Classic add on bollocks that explains fuck all other than FL clearly doesn’t trust him but worryingly (like play off semis) when you have an actual striker on the bench and you need a goal you bring a left back on as a winger.

Questions need to be asked about Frank not fucking add on shite.

What a load of bollox.

It was an initial fee of 3.5 million with lots of add ons based on performance/goals etc.

Difficult to pinpoint exactly how much of the add ons we have paid so far but adding it all up in my head I make it to be about 3.5 million still.
