I was on about Chris Iwelumo, someone asked where he was playing now then said he'd be good.

My old man had a conversation with mr waggott before yesterdays game and asked him about jackson. His resppnse was that they had him down yesterday and are just waiting for him to make his mind up. Even said to jackson that if he wants to leave if we dont go up this season then he can just move on. Also said hes after a centre back and centre mid man

He is not what we need IMO. What happened to this target man we want? SJ isn't a target man. So what's the plan?

This is what worries me, the plan seems to change with the wind.

If that's true, and let's say he agrees to sign, will his heart be in it or is it just a case of us being his only option and he wants to get paid by someone, anyone, but doesn't care who that is?

Not my usual line of work, but I'm told that Simeon Jackson will return to England to play for Coventry City #SkyBlues

I'm sure SJ is a good player although I've not seen him recently but we need a target man more I would say.

Someone who I really like but probably wouldn't get is Tom pope. He is huge and scores for fun. I remember he scored against us last season when at port vale in a 3-2 loss. He was immense that day.

As is James Hanson who is a class above in this league. And also I quite like Michael smith at swindon who badly need money.

All these 3 are 6ft 4inches plus and all score and all are very good players. Shame we can't buy one of these players.

Seems certain then. Is he that good? He is only 5ft 7 so I assume and hope he is very fast?

Send your best essay on the subject into SP. He'll see the light.

The above link is a collection of his goals from his spell at Norwich. A real variety; mazy runs, screamers, tap ins and headers.

Plus he looks like he has a lot of pace, something we are clearly lacking! A target man would be useful but perhaps the opportunity to snap up a quick former championship striker is too good to turn down. Fingers crossed this one comes off. Interesting what Waggott has said about a centre mid potentially coming in too!

Some good goals, but he did play up top with Grant Holt.

If this is true and he signs I'm very excited by this signing. I remember him being pretty decent for Gillingham.

Jackson is better than what we've got, a player who really should be playing in the championship

I would have been slightly disappointed if it was a target man we were in for as i still think we may go back in for Michael Smith. Jackson would be a good acquisition if we could get him fit. Has some pace.

Tbh Cheltenham's Byron Harrison seems a more realistic target than Smith

Moussa was still available near the end of September when we signed him

Fair comment, can't argue with that.

change with the wind? You are getting confused with fans on this forum! SP said we either need pace or a target man. He could go for both or just try and get the best one he can with his paupers budget.
