Who would you keep for next season out of this year's squad and where would you strengthen to get us out of this man's league?

Lose the twins.

Add some pace and width.

Keep the back line apart from Haynes. Consider losing Stokes if he carries on as he has been, as he just hasn't been the same dominant force of a player since the long injury lay off.

Secure the services of a midfield general. Kind of a Doyle who can pass.

Vincenti has from now until the end of the season to improve. If not, I would be prepared to lose him too. One of the negatives about him is that he has no pace.
It is a problem throughout the side.

Stokes slow, Vincenti is slow, Shipley is not slow, but not that pacy either.

We need pace on the flanks and pace up front too.

Lose Beavon unless there is coaching role for him somewhere.

Agree with all of this really. And obviously do as well as we can to keep Bayliss, McNulty and Willis.

Assuming still in L2....
Try and move on: One of the keepers, Beavon, Haynes, Stokes, DKE twins, Vincenti, probably Reid unles he does something spectacular between now and end of season.
Bring in: Keeper, LB, 1 centre mid, 2 wingers and a striker
6 in, 8 out, slim the squad down a bit.

Some pace would be nice, we are so slow and easy to defend against ..., coupled with zero creativity, it’s a bad combination

If we don’t go up there’s no way we would keep some of the existing squad. McNulty most obviously but also Bayliss and depending on suitors probably two from Willis, McDonald and Davies.

Both dke
Haynes if somebody will buy him
Kelly
Vincenti
Beavon
Reid as his wages will be too high
Maycock as he can’t get in the midfield even now

Sign
JCH if he impresses
doyle
Stokes if his deal is up
A new keeper
Pace and powerful wingers
Striker
Two central midfielders who don’t want to get in the way of the centre backs
Keep

Biamou
Mcnulty
Willis
Davies
Hyam
MacDonald
Shipley
Jp
Jones
Andreu

I don’t know about the youngsters they haven’t seen enough of them

Bayliss will leave

We would lose McNulty, McDonald, Willis, grimmer, bayliss

We may keep jones and Andreu till the Jan window as hey are coming back from long term injuries.

DKEs won't cut it in a mans games in the lower leagues, burge needs to go, Vincenti can go, Stokes is getting worse as a player...

Basically it will another huge squad overall if we don't get promoted.

For another season in L2 I'd set out with the intention to start 442 so wingers are a priority. This would be my starting side on currently contracted players I'd retain with potentially a minimum of 4 1st team players needed to sign.

---------------*****----------------
Grimmer--Davies--Mcdonald--*****
--JJ--Andreu--Kelly/Doyle--*****--
--------*****----McNulty---------

Subs
Burge/O'Brien, Hyam, Stokes, Shipley, Doyle, Ponticelli, Biamou.

A squad of....
Keepers
---------------*******----------------
------------Burge/O'Brien ------------
Defenders
Grimmer---Davies--Mcdonald--*****
*****-----Hyam----Stokes----*****
*****--Thompson--*****--Camwell
Midfields
---JJ----Kelly-----Andreu----*****--
---*****---Doyle---Bayliss----****--
--*****---Maycock---Shipley---*****---
Forwards
----------Biamou----McNulty---------
--------Ponticelli----*****-----------
----------******-----*****----------

Try to off load Beavon, Haynes, Vincenti, O'Brien or Burge with the intention of a new No1

Release/no new deals for , DiKE, DeKE, Reid

Offer new deal to Doyle, Cramwell, Thompson, Bayliss (tho hopefully will have already signed)

Sign JCH.

Sell Willis to invest into the side or cover budget shortfall if attendance figures fall too much.

Potentially up to 10 new players required or re-signing with a lot of work down the left hand side required as I'd move stokes to a central role

Pretty much mirror this. Think we’re likely to lose at least one of Willis, Bayliss or McNulty, although I think MM is the most likely to stay out of the 3. The real challenge will be replacing them.

How or who actually makes a decision on some of the guff that makes it through to the first team. Now apparently I know it all as the resident Scout, Referee and have been known to read the managers mind on occasions (slowerthanplatt:emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye but anyone with the slightest bit of football knowledge would have seen that the DKE twins were a non starter.
Mind you, Dions efforts in last seasons team of misfits were to his credit.

I think we need to look at it more realistically:

Definite outs:

Willis
Bayliss
Jones

Possible outs:

McNulty
McDonald
Doyle
Grimmer

I believe the nucleus of our side will look like this:

Burge
DKE Davies McDonald Stokes
Vincenti Maycock Kelly Shipley
Andreu
JCH

We'd need 2 strikers, a system change to fit in Andreu, 3 wingers, 3 centre midfields. A right back and a centre half. Yet most people want to bring in a keeper and left back too. If we don't go up I'd be very worried. Is it worth sacking Robins and getting a new manager bounce to take us up?

How many season ticket holders will renew if we are still in this shit league? Will have a huge effect if we lose another 1000 off the gate. Agree with the Accrington style. Budget will be even smaller to replace the shit we want rid of.

I think what you just wrote contradicts itself a little. Accrington won't be one of the top 12 for budgets in L2 I'd imagine but have a competitive squad.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Piss poor recruitment from 2-3 years ago (those useless twins) is still biting us on the arse. I mean, it’s obvious they were never going to make it in the lower leagues.

Mcnulty for sure would go to Scottish Prem club, I’m hearing from some In Scotland that he may go anyway if we go up or not . He has attracted much attention In his homeland.

Not because some of Robins signings have not been good enough? The only reason Shipley is playing is because Vincenti has been poor

Shipley will be 21 next year and had a full season of mens footy. Next year we'd have Andreu, Kelly, Doyle, Bayliss. 2 attacking mids and 2 defensive mids. Shipley as a 5th choice CM is a worry to you?
