Not heard anything about any injuries last night so unsure where that's came from, I may have missed it but seen a few say Allen and Binks were injured??

Agree, I don't think it's in Lampards long term thinking and was forced on him due to injuries.
But I wouldn't be too quick to revert to 4 3 3 until we've got a few more than just Wright back.

Personally, I think we looked quite solid yesterday.

No injuries last night? Binks had blood pouring out of his head and MVE and Allen hobbled off. Probably will all make it after a week of TLC but concerning none the less, given injuries to others and limited numbers.

Wonder what the fee would have been and how comparable it would have been for let’s say Morgan Whittaker who would clearly cost more I’m just wondering how much more than gap would be. He has lost his peak value from last season for sure.

From looking on Sorba Thomas instagram he openly says he has an attitude problem, doesn’t train well, doesn’t listen to managers etc in an interview so don’t know how the fuck this would pass Dr Claire’s character testing.

Cramp for both MVE and Allen wasn't it?

Hoping it's not major but they didn't look overly mobile when they went off. Binks also looked Terry Butcheresque

Doesn't mean he'll be straight in though I guess.

Considering all parties seemed happy I'd be surprised if we didn't follow through on it in the summer, but thats just purely my guess

Lati will be the one out, probably this week. Best part of 2 million which is a cracking deal. Also the reason he didn't come on when Milan was flagging, didn't want to cup tie him

Thomas would have come out of that, but as Jimmy says, it looks like we may now be going 2xCM and an RB

Tbf that's good on the face of it, although surely desperately needs another CB if Lati goes as well.

What worries me with four at the back is our fullbacks are always exposed.
Both Bidders and JDS usually play with our most creative players Haji and EMC who give the least cover.
Although MVE says he prefers to play full back, he is often caught up field on the counter.

Good deal, based on Jimmy then assuming we will look at a CM, A CB and a RB. Would be a good window if it all comes off depending on the players.

Shame about Thomas as I actually think he’s a tricky and quick winger who would suit Lampard’s style well. Hopefully one we look into the summer if not sooner but assume we would need Milan to go for that kinda windfall.

At a minimum I’d imagine we’ll have the sheaf Milan and Vik money

I’d love us to keep haji for one more year but I doubt it

Meant more wonder if we could go back in if we got an early fee in this month. Can’t see funds being an issue in July with the sheaf and vik money. Not to mention potential of Milan as well

Agreed. But the fact we could well have that much to give lampard is positive.

I’d like us to try what Sunderland have and invest in overseas u21

Happy for us to keep building a young squad. Think that’s one of big reasons, Doug hired Frank in all honestly.

But just want us to be a bit smarter with the squad depth. But very excited and hopeful, I do think we’ve found some good players under Austin and hope we can keep signing projects from overseas or in the UK.

Just want us to build it more like a squad than a game of football manager

If Lati goes then it has to be a CM, CB and RB surely.

We can't play the rest of the season with three CBs.

I’m not exactly fond of Doug King but it is strange how not being able to pull in tens of millions is proof he’s a wanker. He entrusted the recruitment team and MR with what for this club is a fortune and they pissed a large amount up the wall.

That we don’t have millions more available is not his fault.

I still find it too good to be true that Burnley, who are overloaded with centre backs, are signing Lati for nearly two million. Don’t even mind him that much but two million?

I would take Ekdal from them. Seemed a cut above when I’ve seen him play and been very unlucky with injuries.

£2m isnt that much in the modern game is it.

I’d take it for Lati but I’m not convinced it’s enough to guarantee we replace with better.

I think more like £20-25m but definitely enough for someone who isn’t Dean Austin to build a squad.

Pls can one of the ITK’s tell me that Tavares is leaving. Really want him to be playing week in week out somewhere. Deserves an opportunity elsewhere.

I keep reading this, but how much have they actually 'pissed up the wall'?

Personally, I believe we're in net profit. Not every signing will work anywhere, even if you pay £80m like Anthony. We also don't officially know the costs only speculation some of which will be rising fees based on criteria of appearances, goals and success.

I would've played him yesterday. When he didn't come on then, the writing is surely on the wall. Lampard clearly doesn't rate him so need to move him on.

Yeah probably bang on, all about how it’s reinvested

12-15 haji 10 Milan 6-8 sheaf is roughly what I’d think we’d get

Needs to go for his own development. Felt we’ve hindered his enough with the lack of first team football either with us or on loan. Would let him go on a free with a sign on if anyone would take him

I like him but he’s not good enough for Championship - that’s the harsh reality. Can only see League two clubs interested and maybe bottom half league 1 - wonder if wages are an issue as surely he’s had offers. Can’t be on a lot here but it’s a different game financially in those leagues.

Schrödinger’s squad. So terrible no manager can be held accountable for the results so good we’re going to make a profit on them.

Surely there's no way he's happy sitting on the bench not even getting a sniff week in week out. What a waste of a career. Can only think that he's on a wage which he knows he won't get elsewhere and is happy to just take the money while it's there.
