Why are all our players signed on one year deals?

In this instance, as a 34yo 'veteran', not sure we could dare do anything but.

Good signing, one year is par for the course.

I'd hope he'll play CB.

I want him playing football rather than be playing around with stupid two way truck radios.

I wasn't convinced, but having spoken to a couple of Swindon fans who'd have been happy to see him go to them, I'm sold.

"Looked up for it and isn't one of those players content to just wind down his career with a paycheque"

That'll do.

Solid signing. This gives me encouragement. Now, let's get a few more in.

We now need to sign an experienced right back as first choice, sign Johnson again, get a solid centre mid, one or two decent wingers and at least two proven strikers. I would add a new keeper but Mog has said Burge will be number 1.

He could be the new "Roland Nilsson", or "Andy Webster", a potentially good signing or a disaster, just don't do a Pugh on us please Sam.

:welcome:

Good stuff, can see him being made captain. You won't be able to get near the shop tomorrow when the thousands of people who were buying season tickets when we signed someone all turn up!

To be fair, it seems like you can't get near the shop if ten people turn up!

I'm wondering if that's a clever move by Mowbray? Say he's trying to get someone in but can't, does he feel it might knock Burge's confidence? So if he doesn't, and he's come out and said Burge is number 1, he's hoping Burge will use that as a platform to step up? Obviously just musings by me.
