With increasing numbers of threads & posts that appear to be creating excuses to justify, or seek other's approval justifying changing their stance & going to Sickfields...was TF right??? Fans will be back!? After all - we've played only 2 "home" matches to date & already more appear to be considering going.

Personally, NOPM until the team is back playing in Coventry. That means NOPM on the back of any promises to be back after Xmas, or if TF is replaced by a friendly successor, or we get a new owner or anything!!!

NOPM until the very match that they are walking onto the pitch in Coventry.
Stay strong - NOPM...& PUSB

No he is wrong.
Why would anyone want to go there for up to 5 years and then go to a L1 stadium.

It's Ricoh or nothing else for me. My ambition is to get back where we belong not bounce around between L1 and Championship (If we can after 5 years of this crap)
Get some plans approved and I'll stop going away as well.

After so many lies and wholesale devaluation of the club by these vultures NOPM is the only thing which actually stacks up.

Of course there is an itch, people like me have been going to 30 games a season since 1977. This whole bullshit scenario is unfamiliar, unsettling and hurtful. I still won't go to Northampton though, it's just not right, its giving credence to their spite !

All very well but a growing number of threads & postings suggest a fair number are seeking to justify going.

Wish those people would have courage of conviction & stop toying with the idea & suggesting going...& either shut up & stay away or just go if that's what they want to do.

.......... and some that are going will stop going during the winter months. Swings and Roundabouts, some will start some will stop.
You have to go for yourself, people writing on here will not really be influenced by us keyboard warriors. They may even be chastising a little.

I will not go until we are back at the Ricoh where we belong, preferred we had stayed at Highfield Road but the Ricoh is our home now.

No away games no "home" games until that happens. I will continue to watch my local non league team for my football fix, which I am enjoying so far ,but still nowhere near the excitement of watching the skyblues. I am saving money to boot.

So you would go if we played at the Ricoh that we don't own but you won't go to a new stadium in Coventry that we do? Bizarre!

'We own', I've a feeling that scenario would never exist in a sense that you describe

This is what I don't understand. Why do people love the Ricoh so much? A stadium owned by CCFC in Coventry is surely what everyone wants. That might be at the Ricoh if both sides can get there fingers out of there backsides long enough to negotiate and shake on a deal. However if it isn't why not somewhere else in Coventry?
Is this another campaign that been set up which I'm not aware of?
Keep coventry in coventry but only at the Ricoh and without Sisu involved. Not as catchy as the other ones.

The new stadium, the one that will never be built, won't be IN Coventry.

Isn't this the way a lot of owners set up their clubs these days?

The team is playing fairly attractive football, lots of goals and full of Coventry kids with form that would put us just outside the play-offs (if it wasn't for the points deductions). That should realise close to the 7,000 attendance that Fisher predicted.

Instead, 1,500 are going.

If he is so wrong with his predictions now, will investors that will be expected to put money into the construction actually trust his figures for 'when' we return to our new home (owned by an as yet undisclosed entity) when he is so wide of the mark when we are doing well.

This was posted yesterday and dealt with it in more detail, but was overshadowed by some other stuff I found and posted for some reason...

The point is...after 2 games 1500 & increasing numbers voicing reasons to back-track on their decision - & instead seek justification/approval for going!

If they want to go - I have no gripe with them...it's their choice. I choose not to go & am just fed-up of them seeking some sort of approval.

The conspiracy theorist would say they're not going and seeking approval at all, they're people *not* going seeking re-affirment and people rising up and re-iterating reasons not to go, by pretebding that's their decision when it isn't

Fair point...but thus far, on top of the approx 50% increase in Cov fans attending from game 1 to game 2, if TF dips into this forum I think he'd nothing less than encouraged by some of the posts.

Are they seeking approval? Surely they are just telling you why they've changed their minds and coming on to the forum to debate it.

Just one example of threads posts going that way. The OP might be just testing the water dressing it up as a hypothetical question...subsequent posts definitely seek appr - look there is always more than one way of looking at a question or a statement. You & I might just have beg to differ as to our perceptions.

I think we might. I felt there was always going to be a few drift back to watching us in exile following the massive initial boycott. Maybe not as many as CCFC would like but a lot of blokes like me need our football fix.
