what a random thought to have, but when you think about it i bet the same could be said for Thomas, Stevenson and a few others i think Harries would of been a regular now
Wasn't he rumoured to have gone for 8k a week? Anything more than 5k and he's made the right decision because that's 750k+ since he left and he's still only 21.

Where is he in the Everton squad system now, trying to establish yourself as a kid in pro football is tough, but there are plenty of clubs in the north west area to move to loan or permanent. I’d never knock anyone for trying to better themselves.
If he had stayed here he would be on significantly less money so hopefully he has managed his wages well and secured a decent future, but you know what kids are like with plenty of money...well some anyway

In terms of progression as a footballer, it wasn't the right move. More and more, we're seeing players make the grade in League 1 and the Championship and earn big contracts with Premiership clubs, for example, Alli, Maddison and Wilson to name a few. If he had the talent, to earn a move to a Premiership or even Championship club you'd have to say he's made the wrong decision because when that contract runs out, he'll be lucky to get signed by an L1 or L2 club because he's a player in his 20s without any senior game time.
Take a look at Thomas, had he stayed with us in L2 I think he would've scored at least 10-15 goals and probably earned himself a good move to a team in the Championship as McNulty did. That season playing age-group football has killed his momentum, he's stuck with a struggling L1 team with a 1 in 10 goal scoring ratio, he has undoubtedly regressed. The money Thomas and Sambou are on probably isn't going to set themselves up for life and had they made better career choices where they could showcase their talents at senior level, they could have more money.
For me, long term gains trump short term gains when it comes to building your career, and thankfully, more young players are trying to get moves to places where they'll get game time as opposed to a move to a big club.
Wasn’t the right move ? He was a an untried reserve at a third division club on its way to division four and went to a top ten Premiership club. Probably not going to get in Everton’s first team squad and will move on but had to take the chance.
