Maybe they do already, I've never been into a woman's bathroom.
These ladies make a good argument.

They don’t even do it for young girls at schools where it’s needed!

Rather vulgar but funny nonetheless.

Not sure about them being free unless on certain benefits, although I wouldn't be against a proposal to help someone with basic decency and hygiene. You'd be horrified if loo paper, soap and hand drying facilities weren't provided. It's more how would you stop someone abusing it and just nicking them all.

But I was amazed when I found out they had VAT on them, even at the reduced rate. I'd just assumed something of this nature would be considered a necessity and thus VAT free. But at least if they're down about it they can afford to scoff a load of biccies and chocolate cake to cheer themselves up as they are VAT free.

It'd be good PR anyway, but for games it'd have to be a Brum led initiative as it's their stadium. We could do it for the offices etc though.

Did you listen to their arguments?
Everyone gets provided free soap, towels (or air blower) and bath tissue.
What's the difference?
For them it's a similar necessity.

Hayfever tablets for me are a necessity, as it nasal spray and eye drops, all of which cost considerably more a month than a few tampax do. Without them, I'm a mess and cant function my allergies get that bad. So, I ask, why do I have to pay? I didnt choose to have allergies.

They should be available at football grounds, but in a machine like condoms or fuzzybrush etc. I see no reason at all why they should have to be provided free.

Period poverty: 'I use socks and tissue'
A link from the same page as the original. If ever there was an advert for broken Britain - possibly couldn't afford her fags and booze if she wasted it on tampons

Who are they? Many schools are now trying to provide free sanitary items, along with the food banks asking for donations.

Btw Watford were on board with it and did have some in the toilets

But so could lots of other people regarding things like asthma. The differences are:
it's a natural process almost every single women goes through.
is it's a hygiene and public health issue not just for those menstruating but everyone else. Imagine how dirty the toilets would get if toilet roll wasn't provided, with all the potential bacteria that would be getting all over the place. Well, it's the same with this but with potential blood contamination as well as bacteria and potentially diseases from the area.
