Varying reports, some saying car ran over pedestrian in panic. Some "4x4 mows down people on Westminster bridge"

Yep. Saying at least 5 people mowed down by a 4 by 4. Police officer also stabbed in another incident too.

These are eyewitness reports.

Car drove along Westminster bridge mowing people down. Copper was stabbed, the attacker was then shot by armed police.

I suppose our fantastic police and secret services could only stop attacks for so long.

They can't do much about a knife/car attack. Not much pre warning as apposed to bombs etc :/

Thoughts with the victims and their families

Indeed. Not much you can do if a mentalist decides to run a load of people over.

Thoughts go out to the victims, including the police officer.

Why would someone do something like this?

Because they're a cowardly c**t. Regardless of the motive/who did it, it boils down to that.

indeed. if it is terrorism its still misguided evil.

hurting innocent people does not stop troops doing the same in your homeland etc

the worlds a bad place, good people acknowledge that and try to live a positive life and help others. terrorists decide to take lives in a eye for an eye situation which makes the world an even worse place.

i can understand peoples annoyance when some only see issues when its close to home and could give 2 shits about innocents dying overseas but thats all it should be,annoyance. letting anger make you commit these attrocities is no excuse

evil. no other way to dress it up.

Think it could be more than one person actually. Two people arrested on the bridge.

Information woolly at this point.

Hope they find everyone involved.

Will be interesting to hear May's address to the nation. She strikes me as a leader in these sort of times, hopefully she will be.

Anyone seen the Twat taking a selfie with a selfie stick?

I dont get the images of what I assume is the suspects being treated at the scene with armed police pointing their guns at them.

Why aren't they bundled into a van and taken away?

I wonder if it will come out that they were "known" to authorities?

Perhaps they were being kept alive, Nick. You can't get information out of a dead person.

Keep them alive in the back of a transit with the bolt cutters ready to go on the toes.

A tourist shouted 'there's a bomb under the bridge' whilst the thing was kicking off.

I guess that was adrenaline working over time.

Not much I'd guess, would have to be brain dead. Thoughts go out to the innocent victims and their families. Hope they take him alive.

Not sure how true it is, but the local radio station, Fire, just said the Bournemouth MP tried to give mouth to mouth to the police officer injured

Fair play to him/her though, rather than standing there taking pictures like some were.

I've just seen some pictures of him on the news, he was covered in blood from the unfortunate officer he tried to save.
