He was very poor in his first 3 seasons and only in his last season was he close to the form he had at Leeds and subsequently at Liverpool. I think he was carrying an injury which he tried to play through and he eventually broke down in a home game (Spurs?) and ended up missing the 98 WC Finals. I wouldn't say he was shit but he wasn't as good as we had hopedTo be the biggest disappointment we’ve had. One of Strachan's biggest problems was that he neglected the centre of defence, was crying out for a decent partner for Breen.
Yeah I did mean City. I knew he went elsewhere, surprised he even played at Bolton as he was completely shotActually he did play again. He went to Bolton on loan and then signed for them making about 25 or so appearances, and I think he played a handful of games for Blackpool too. Christ knows how he managed it.
