1 block does not make a LWB…

Played ok but most definitely not the answer to our left sided problem.

I think Robins playing him to drum up interest in a possible transfer.

Shipley is a Telfer type. Will always give his all when selected and obey instructions. This was a game really against league 1 opponents - you wouldn’t fancy him say at Craven Cottage - he’s done well but needs to move on

Totally agree. It might have been against limited opposition aside from a couple of players, but Shipley had a really good game.

He did well today and looked up for it, putting in a decent performance and a dangerous threat when he was forward. His body language was good and he clearly enjoyed himself. Please for him but would caution anyone who thinks he is our left back answer. The opposition was weak all afternoon down both flanks, and there was little defending required from our left side.
But that said I couldn't be happier for him.
The only real miss today for me was Mcfazdean. Thought we were as shaky looking as Posh in that first period at the back.

I was very close to action and Jordan had 4 drinks of water given too him in second half by coaching staff. Make of that whatever you may want to. A great effort by him and almost created a couple of goals and just might have scored himself too.

I'm not really sure what to make of that, four drinks you say? Mind blowing.

If Shipley does leave I think it'll be the first time in about 15 years that Cov didn't have a player name Jordan in the first team squad

I suppose everything is in play
With his last two performances he's changed the narrative

Fair play to him today, a shaky ish start but played very well and looked very decent..Not sure against QPR or Boro away but he did a great job today and deserved his ovation at the end.

Was a bit nervous when I seen him in the line up but fair play, done the business today albeit against not the greatest of opponents. Still needs to be moved on if we want to move forward.
Dont really buy this geeing up the crowd at every opportunity for extra kudos either and the delay in leaving the pitch at the end. If it was one final hurrah then fair enough. It it wasn’t I am not buying it I’m afraid.

He played well , didn't think he could last as long as he did in that role .

I wish him all the very best at his next club and thank him for his contribution to coventry city over the last 4 years

Peterborough’s home form might argue against looking like a league 1 side – surprisingly they have had some notable results beating Millwall, QPR, drawing with Huddersfield and only losing 1-0 to Fulham

Why would you move a player on when he puts performances like yesterday in - Would have thought Robins has no thoughts on moving him on -

He's going by the scenes at the end of the game looked like goodbye. He needs to be playing football not sitting on the bench every week

My question would be why the hell has he not tried to perform like that in the last year and a half instead of ambling round the pitch throwing his arms in the air like he's Ronaldo.

One good performance doesn't mean he deserves to stay. He should have been busting a gut in training to prove himself, I can't tell if he has or not obviously but can only look on the facts. Yesterday was his first championship appearance this season and its due to a horrendous injury crisis

Yep that’s a fair point. Only reason he got a game is because there was nobody else.

In fairness to Shipley I don't think he can genuinely be accused of lack of effort or "ambling around". He's very much a confidence player and really struggles when things aren't going well for him and starts to play within himself. He still managed to contribute a couple of goals last season despite that.

It's a demonstration of the superior fitness and intelligence of O'Hare, Shipley is just unable to press so effectively and yet also make himself constantly available for the ball like O'Hare does.

If he has targets and needs to get funds/wage capacity he has to look whohe's most likely to be able to do with out. yes, Shipley had a great game but many of his previous performances/fitness were very poor and yesterday's game was against a struggling team that will most likely find themselves in L1 next year barring any points deductions to others.

One swallow does not a summer make. (Though it does tend to be a great night)

Another important stat is that Peterborough have not lost by more than one goal at home all season - This shows that at home thye are not a walkover like many seem to think

Give Shipley a break
It hasn't been great for him since we got to the championship , in fact he's been pretty dire but I for one don't mind him wallowing in the adulation , must've been great for him to hear the SBA
singing his name again
