Only saw the second half, but he did look lively down the left, credit where it’s due

He did well today but Peterborough are a league 1 side. That’s his level

Good performance from Shipley today, credit where its due, may well have played himself out of a loan.

First time since we have been in the championship he has played like he feels he is up to it. Its all in his head.

I still think he has the ability to play at this level

I think this is the crux of it. Played really well for the most part (positionally quite poor in first 30) but that was a relatively easy game to plod through. I’d still have reservations over him playing against someone like Swansea or Stoke.

Never been a big fan but great to see him take his chance. Hopefully a little humility will spur him on to be an important part of the squad

I think LWB is his most valuable position for us tbh. Wasn’t tested much defensively but we look so much more balanced there than an out of position Dabo.

I think I must be the biggest Shipley protector on here and really pleased he played as well as he did, but he’s not a long term lwb.
He played well enough today to throw his hat in the ring for a left midfield slot though.

Good performance and you can say Peterborough weren't up to much but as the cliche goes you can only play against the team in front of you.

IMO we need squad players like Shipley, unless of course he is desperate to leave and get more minutes. Every player we have who is half decent and isn't first choice people say they will be demanding to leave in the next transfer window. We have to have squad players who can come in here and there. Obviously it would be great if we had a huge budget and had two genuine championship quality players in each position but we don't have that luxury.

I’ve wanted him out the club since last season, can’t cut it in cm at this level. But if he was to stay as backup LWB for the rest of this season, after seeing today I’d be more than happy with that.

He really has made me eat humble pie today after saying I’d rather start with practically anyone else at LWB , I’m more than happy to eat it.

Think he's on his way, the way he was at the end and the way Wilson was hugging him, something going on. Good luck to the lad

LWB suited him today, he was afforded time and space to be able to play his game. He's a good player but he doesn't have that speed of mind you need at this level to implement your game.

Heart wants him to build on that and prove us all wrong, head is focused on club progression and the simple fact of the matter is that there will be better players available as we move forward.

Hoping whoever is moving in for him watched todays game and left feeling convinced to match whatever our valuation is.

Maybe if he played like that more often it wouldn’t (potentially) be his last game for us

He did play ok going forward but was really needed defensively and JCS covered him brilliantly.

Tbh If we had played Mark Robins at LWB in that game he’d have looked good-Peterborough were shyte.

Shit. How were they allowed to play us in a Championship game today then?

With such a weak squad and do many games coming up, it would be silly to let him go.

Lasted the 90 and good vision when he sprinted towards the end to incercept that pass, didn't huff and puff much. He did well today, fair play to the bloke.
