You would think there would be a shit ton of stewards around the pitch from kick off to stop this protest

That's a lot of manpower to arrange at short notice. And made even more difficult when everyone knows they are struggling to even pay the players on the pitch.

If they get on the pitch, or worse get the game abandoned, when everyone has know the plans for weeks I suspect the authorities will take a dim view.

Plenty of time to get prepared and have a plan of action. Not festival season now, be plenty of stewards they can bring in at short notice. Might have to pay them up front though!

I don’t expect that this will be the last one today by their fans.

Hardly call that a pitch invasion. More of a pitch incursion.

When you have a protest at 12, but need to be peering into the steamed up back window of a Vauxhall Astra in a layby just outside Rotherham at 4...

All jokes aside, fair play to all of them that went on. Here's hoping they get nothing more than a stadium ban (guess they're all boycotting usually anyway) that gets swiftly overturned by a new owner when they get that twat gone.

Ok, so I'm for the abuse of 'it's got nothing to do with us', 'nobody helped us when we had crap owners' and 'don't get involved' etc etc. Also ready to be called soft, woke, snowflake and anything else you've got, but here goes ...

How about in the 10th minute of our next match v Blackburn, we get word out to start a movement of scarves above heads 10th minute and repeat the Chansiri out? Or some sort of general protest to the EFL about club owners. If other clubs join in and it becomes a Championship wide movement, it might make the EFL actually sit up and do something with the bad press it will be receiving. I expect that even Sheff U want a rival and whilst they want to beat them, wouldn't actually want them out of business. It happens to clubs too often. Bury of course, but could easily have been us, Blackburn, Charlton, Blackpool and the list goes on. Football clubs are important to local communities as a whole, local business and affects mental health too. They need protecting and poor ownership or the risk of going out of business all together has to stop.

I know we've had a few recent incidents with Wednesday and I don't have much like for either Sheffield club, but largely I imagine the fanbase is no different to any other and we showed we can stand in solidarity as football supporters on Saturday, we have an opportunity to do something for the wider game. Currently things are great at City, but it's not too long ago that they weren't and you never know what's around the corner.

As usual I'm sure one or two will say 'well how about you start it then', but I'm just wondering if I'm pissing in the wind or if there is genuine appetite to help. Forget that it's Wednesday if you don't like them, this is more about protecting the game we all love and it would be nice to think it was us that were instrumental in starting it.

Right, tin hat on, away you go!

No, let's just concentrate on our own club.

In any event, what are they expecting the EFL to do within the powers it has?

I expect the EFL to apply for powers that allow them to remove him and force a sale whether it be to private ownership or the hands of a trust or centrally run group until funding can be found.

With regards to concentrating on us, I'm not sure how it affects us at all and if anything adds to the atmosphere. Plenty of times it's quiet anyhow and the words to songs don't matter they just build noise. I'm not a fan of singing about our owner being great, but I always join in as it adds noise.

And I know it's difficult for the EFL as Chansiri has had 10 years, but if we show we're all football fans united in a common cause, it will hopefully help to tighten up regulations that don't enable poor owners or things like the ground being separated from the club etc. We're due a football regulator, so might even help highlight the issue to them as I imagine the remit will be blinkered to big Premier League clubs.

The thing I'm taking from this photo is that he's wearing a belt and his jeans are still falling down.

And he's still got some spare punch holes to use.

This alone was enough to get him chucked out.

It'd maybe be worth considering for when we play Wednesday at home. Doing it at an unrelated game entirely would be weird as fuck.

The idea was that it was unrelated, in fact all 24 teams in a round of Championship fixtures, to show the EFL and outside of the Championship that whilst we might have rivalries, we're all united in the game being for the fans and not cuntish owners. I think it would highlight the point much more than at just one of their games.
