Hard to tell before we know who's injured and who isn't. You have to feel like we should have enough whatever we do but they've been battling hard so we still need to be on it.
Agree with @clint van damme that maybe the formation change was with an eye on this one. International break looks like its coming at a good time.

Feels like we could start with a midfield 3 of Eccles, Allen and Andrews and beat Barcelona at the minute.

This game would usually have banana skin all over it, but feeling very confident for a win based on current form.
Draw wouldn't be the end of the world considering last nights result, but three points would be ideal going into the international break

They’re doing pretty well at the moment considering their situation. Unbeaten in three and should have won on Tuesday. We should have too much for them but could be a potential banana skin.

Good time to play them at the end of a 3-game week, wages unpaid, and points deduction news could take the wind out of them

Us playing a day later away in London feels like a bit of a leveller though - especially with doubts over two of our midfielders

If Torp/Eccles are available I reckon a win, if not I suspect a change in system and a draw

Why are people saying Eccles is out?
Is there a suggestion he's injures?
I thought he was just knackered.

Think Lampard said something in his interview.

It's been great this season to have such a settled back 5, 6 if you include Grimes.

Chopping and changing all of the last season (apart from Van Ewijk really) didn't help things, especially when it came to consistency.

These 6 players, Rushworth, JDS, Kitching, Thomas, Van Ewijk and Grimes all seem to have a great understanding.

I certainly think JDS and Rushworth have benefitted from playing in such a strong/consistent unit.

For all our injury woes and fitness issues we also need to remember that Sheffield Wednesday have a paper thin squad who have also played three games in eight days .
It's a game we should be looking to win with the form of our attacking players

Without injuries:
Same team that started

With injuries to Torp and Eccles:
Rushworth

Thomas - Woolfenden - Kitching

van Ewijk - Allen - Grimes - Dasilva

Sakamoto - Wright - Asante

Not based off anything but gut feeling, but I think we might see KKH in the CAM role if Torp and Eccles are out.

Some funny takes on here, surely not more likely to have a player out of position in midfield just to avoid playing a young midfielder.

Need at least a win to maintain two points per game average.

Andrews hasn't even got on the pitch without us being at least 3 goals up, don't think Lampard trusts him

If you have Allen and Andrews as your midfield there is definitely the risk of Bannan running the show there. I think whatever we do we should have enough but certainly some tinkering required from Lampard by the sound of it.

Given how well certain players have performed as wide forwards i would probably argue that another CM should be priority recruitment in Jan. Although obviously if we secure both those things its even better.

This gives me reminders of that game away to Bolton.

I hope it's not the one where we slip up.

If we're in a good position it would be silly not to. Could be that final push we need to get over the line.

Mental that both this and the fact we’ve seen more of Andrews than most kids for years are true 8 games into the season.

If no Torp or Eccles

Rushworth

Thomas Woolf Kitching

MVE Grimes Allen Dasilva

BTA Wright EMC

Still then got Simms, Tats and KKH as attacking reinforcements to bring on if needed

That's the effect of being a basket case of a club 10 years ago. From 2013-2020 I imagine we were bottom of the midlands totem pole for attracting youth talent.

Not seen much but have we upgraded the academy along with all the Ryton stuff? Wondering if there’s a lag between us being a Champ club and us looking like one to young players

Just seen that the fella who owns Sheff Weds has his name in the seats in one of the stands! Arrogance of the highest order!!

Could you have imagined 'Seppalla' in dark blue letters across one of the stands?!

Take a draw!

Shouldn't need be to said but if course we can win this but if it was a draw I wouldn't be too down as it would mean we are unbeaten going into second international break and I'm not sure we have done that before in my lifetime?
